I have a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta it always shows a quarter tank and it never moves

Mine was stuck on full. I just had to fix the fuel sender that told the gauge how much fuel was in the tank. The sensor was caught in a wire just had to pull it loose. Only took 10 minutes.

Just an update, all. I don't have this MkV Jetta anymore. @Bossman, if it stops working above 20mph, you my friend have the infamous German Electrical Gremlin. May just be as simple as a cluster. Your check engine light should be on, get it diagnosed properly at your local VW dealer. My instrument cluster in this video only acted up in the cold, then again this was my only cold season with the Jetta, since it got totaled September 2011 after getting rear-ended from a dead stop at 50mph.

Ok two days ago my fuel faucet stopped working. The fuel lights not on but reads empty. Before it happened had half tank.. . Car still runs great just that one gauge doesn't work now.

You can fix it, it's dielectric grease that is causing the contacts to cross signals. You can open the switch partially, reach in with a QTip dampened with rubbing alcohol and clean out the old grease. Then put a light coating of new dielectric grease in there and the problem is fixed.

Yeah, it ended up being the instrument cluster that needed to be replaced. Under warranty. Thankfully it isn't as critical as BMW's high-pressure fuel pump recall.

erat91 is correct that this problem is due to dirty contacts inside of the turn signal switch itself. Many people think that it has to do with the hazard switch or even the relay itself but it is definitely a switch contact issue. I just fixed this problem last night and plan to do a fix video but basically you just remove the switch from the stearing colum and open the switch to clean the contacts. It is very simple to do but lengthy to explain. If anyone has questions you can message me.

The problem is the multifunction switch in your column. What happens is dirt and gunk gets built up in the contacts and either shorts it out somehow. I've been told that it is covered in warranty no matter how many miles you have or how old the car is. Just wait till it gets worse and your turn signals don't work at all. Sometimes randomly i will turn on my signal and nothing happens (left or right). Until i turn hazards on and off.

Yeah. Ended up being a coil that randomly went bad. Got the coil pack replaced. Got the O2 wiring redone and a distributer bracket replaced. Everything's all good now!!
