Congratulations. I’ve got the permit in the middle of the Bob. Thanks for the motivation.

HD 142 I shot one in 1987 when there was a HD 141. A much shorter hike. My approach for this one is evolving. Good video

My cousin got a goat several years ago in the BOB on an archery permit and had it mounted. Everyone said the goat was so old it probably died of a heart attack when it was surprised!

Okay, I'm from Montana and that is a huge, huge mountain goat.

That's it. Not only am I throwing my camera away, I'm deleting every Bob video on my hard drive. I recognize Bill W. for sure, and I'm pretty sure that's Guy at 1:48, right? I'd recognize that hat anywhere. Great work, Mike. You are seriously good at this, bro. Jim M.

Beautiful! And the music fits perfectly. At 6:10 I'm sure it's not as steep as it looks, eh.

Outstanding quality work, Mike. I had no idea you had these great videos up; they just came up when I was looking at something else. I definitely recognize Fischer and I'm pretty sure that's Madeline, right? Very cool to be cruising random videos on KZbin and come across one with some friends in it. Jim Murphy

That coffee looked pretty darn good. Nothing like strong coffee in the backcountry.

aren't you supposed to be wearing hunters orange ?
@michaelreavis66335 жыл бұрын
Bowhunting within an early rifle district requires wearing hunter's orange. We have already been notified by MFWP about this...

Mike as a former Bob trail dog I really appreciate your videos. You captured the natural beauty and lifestyle of the Bob like no other videos I’ve seen. As you know this place/lifestyle is completely unique, and as a result, really hard to effectively communicate to others. For that thanks! Keeping wilderness wild is our noble endeavor, media is a powerful tool in this effort.

Great video but I'll be honest and say I watched this mainly for the ski footage. Would love to see more skiing the bob!

For anyone who knows where these goats are being hunted, they would know these are some hardy fellers if they came in on foot and went out on foot with that billy! Props on a good hunt.

Best music in the world. Been real lucky l've seen Doc Watson probably 15 times. I saw Doc in Johnson City , Tn. He played at Down Home 4 to 5 times a year, always did a Christmas special. I was lucky enough to see him play with his son Merle several times. We lost 2 good ones with their passing. More videos, Thanks
Beautiful video - so alluring! I'll be coming from Iowa this summer to work on a trail crew out at Spotted Bear/Schafer Meadows.

Mike ... I always love the stuff you do. This video does a dang good job of capturing some of the sights, sounds and feeling of The Bob. Since we only get to go up there (from Texas) about once a year in the summer, I end up missing it the other 11 months. Had a great packraft experience last summer. And dang ... those are some crazy skiing shots!

Randomly came to this video while checking out Bob Marshall stuff. Then, towards the end there is a downed goat with the "gunslinger" posing behind it. And I went, "Holy Shite, that's Dean...I play pool with that guy down at Al's and Vicks." Funny stuff. Anyways, well done man, i'm jealous. Also, a well done video. Great background music and narration.

RobertZ127 Hey robert. Im using a little Panasonic camcorder I bought a few years back...It actually just broke the other day while skiing! :( Essentially any basic camcorder accompanied with a good eye can really make things look great! Definitely no Canon 5D Mark III, but Im trying....
