i recently got this exact model. but every time i turn on the amp this incredibly loud white noise comes out... ive tried plugging it in a different soccet and checked all the cables but nothing seems to work. does anyone know how to fix it?

I have the Magnavox CDB-473, which came out a year after this one. It offers a digital coax output & the "FTS" feature, but otherwise identical to yours. I would never use the digital output anyway. It's all about that TDA 1541 DAC in any case! Natural, warm and inviting analog sound. I have the same player since new in 1987 (Magnavox - here in the USA). Bought many players after it, but always come back to this one. It just sounds the best, and is the only one that compels me to just sit and enjoy the music.

ANRS AN7363N is the best noise reduction in my opinion. dual chips means you get the best stereo image and sound stage. such sweet highs on any tape! very good sound. a very high end idea from JVC! and such a simple circuit!
