Will you do a review of Vecna Eve of Ruin now that it's out?

The multiple books thing is what turned me off from 4e. I do believe I’d enjoy the actual mechanics. I’ve considered getting the 4E essentials.

I like Arch Devils personally.

I like the idea of warlocks in this setting being the attempted birth of a new god where some gods start out with warlocks before it slowly transitions to clerics

Take off, eh? Totally Bob and Doug... and they are still worshipped in The Great White North...

This is a great idea. And you gave us the base framework to get it started. Thanks.

6:00 Jorphdan pushing his long hair behind his ears is relatable. 😂 Also I'd love to see your take on the Dead By Daylight introduction of 5e Vecna.

You don't really have to use the hounds of Tindaloss to stop players from creating bronze. You can just have it where their characters have no idea what the ore looks like or that it can be smelted down. The area they are in might also not even have the right minerals for it. After all, America lacks a reliable source of tin. I love the idea of wizards tattooing spells onto their bodies. I would also incorporate the fame optional rule as your standing within the clan and your clan's standing within the larger area. Having tieflings be ones touched by a god kinda flips their interactions with the world on its head. That sounds incredibly interesting. Another thing I feel is important is keeping track of spell components. Your 1st level spellcaster should not have enough components to continue casting their spells infinitely, especially since a lot of the components listed for spells are not available. Instead a big part of the early adventures for them should be going on quests to find the special materials used in their magic. I've toyed with the idea of a stone age campaign multiple times in the past, but never really managed it. This might be a good way of finally playing it.

Metal doesn't exist in Planegea. It's not just that people haven't discovered how to exploit it, it is actually not present in the world. The only exception is the five metallic dragon consorts of the Worldheart Dragon. Everything else 💯

There really is no need to mystically lock Planegea into the stone age. We nowadays think of ages only being maybe 800 years tops, but the Neolithic Stone Age was several thousand years, Mezolithic Stone Age was several tens of thousands of years and the Paleolithic Stone Age was even longer. It is not until the Iron Age that age ages became so very short (with the Chalcolithic being the big exception of having been a mere 3000 years wedged between Neolithic and Bronze Age).

This setting seems so cool! One of my groups is working on a 3.5 version (the skills we're coming up with are great) I can't wait to play!

Im literally working on a campaign where the party has to go through different kingdoms taking out diff demigods that were given power from orcus (vampires, necromancers, liches etc) with each demigods death weakening orcus for the final fight and every player death along the way strengthening him in the final fight via some part of the players kit being added to his. Hoping its as cool as i think it will be

I’m interested to see if these are more than just rule-conversions but also add the level of story/mission that modern players expect. I went back and read the original Barrier Peaks and there’s very little more to it than a hack fest.
