@@bigpun313 O it really putting you through the ringer eh. If it make you feel better I had this twice months apart before I recorded this video about fixing it. Had to figure it out again... Ok i know you have had a bit of a trip to get here but from what your saying it sounds like your in a similar spot to me at the point before implementing the fix (at least one of those times...). Ghub is a big part of the issue, that and newer LGS not really being compatible with G27 (#F Logi). Delete it and delete LGS (basically the deeper the clean the better. Ghub has made changes that need reversing). I think that you may be good to try the process in the vid again (exactly as is in vid too). I know you have but I really think its worth another go now. You can check if your clean by inspecting div man. Once that DrivingF wheel is gone from div man you should be good to start reinstall. However, restart and reinstall only LGS 5.10 from the link. Plug in and you should get the normal start for the wheel. Hope that you get it working Bigpun. Your welcome to hop on the discord to keep at it if needed Cheers

What is the green led on the gear stick doing? Is it solid or flashing?? Check Device Manager to see if it is really seeing the wheel as G27. If I recall I had this in Profiler too. If you find that in DM the wheel is listed as something else then something has gone wrong and you should re run the procedure in the video. You must follow it exactly. If it seen as G27 you have another issue. Good luck and hit me up on discord if you still having issues.

You don’t want metal trailing arms… they wont slide on ricks like the plastic will. Odd moving the battery to the back…. Most move the battery farther forward. The receiver normally mounts to the sliders. You will also likely be better off with the sway bar on side hills and even straight climbs. Best of luck with your awesome rig!

Hey John thank you very much for the compliment and good pointers. Arr good to know, cheers. Tbh i may still do it for the extra weight down low. She may hang more but i have since fitted a winch so just an extra excuse to use it i guess 😁. For now the plastic ones are still going strong. I like to experiment. That said thing are usually done for a reason aren't they. She needed harder springs in the rear to keep the battery back there but it was too far back for a crawler. I have the battery (a chunky home made Lipo 2s pack) forward of the gearbox atm. She is very forward bias now, esp with the extra weight of the winch and mount for same. Very happy with how she drives so not planning to change weight set up moving forward. Plus I have yet to hit lvc with this pack in one driving session. Oftern just unplug and run it a second time then charge... Too right on Anti-roll, I just want max articulation. Btw i designed a battery bay / splash shield, and differential armour for her as well as the winch stuff which you can find linked in the description of the winch mount parts release video ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2Kth6KQl8eAfsk ). Would love to hear what you think of em.

I bought a g27 second hand. Mechanically it appears to work fine, the force feedback works, there are no lights flashing, however I can not get it to work in assetto corsa(Im on Win11). What happened is whenever I try to install logitech profiler, the installation works, but it won't recognise the wheel, saying something like "Can not detect any controller." I tried to run it in ac anyway without the shifter(the shifter and clutch were not detected at all), with just throttle and brake and paddle and paddle shifter, which leads to another issue that the game does not recognise the padel to be "braking" when I step on the brake, it recognises that I am "decreasing throttle" cause apparently the game by default(using the G27 no H shifter setting) has throttle. It sucks Ive been trying to get it to work for the whole day but nothing works.

Hey Jasminsamb. Very frustrating im sure. You need to follow a different and specific to Windows 11 process to get the g27 working on that OS. There is a comment that was kindly left below by another viewer, that touches on this. I just got a new laptop and now have the joy of Win11 but am yet to try it on that machine. Let me know if you find a good video on it and I will check it out as well as add a link to it in the description for others. Cheers

Still, after I open the software, it says "Logitech profiler didnt detect any gaming controllers. make sure the device was plugged in", despite power connected and device connected. Im pretty sure its not a hardware problem like I stated it partially runs, but I dont know where to go next.

whats even weirder was that when I clicked on the option "game controllers", it does say that there is a controller called "G27 Racing Wheel" and condition is confirmed. I also checked settings and devices and it does say that there is a device called "G27 Racing Wheel".

@@macslife ok, after few days I tried to connect it to a windows 10 pc and it worked. What happened was, the driver was from the same source, but when you install the driver on windows 10, other than the profiler, it will also install an old version of logictech gaming center(not software), which Im suspecting is why its not working on win11 due to whatever reason.

Don't solder tip stranded wires w/ a screw terminal; it keeps the terminal from squeezing the conductors into shape, resulting in higher resistance+heat than bare wire. It also makes a very inflexible fixed point that can, over time, break the strands at the pivot due to vibration. Crimped connectors are preferred from wire to terminals.
@macslife8 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment. This is a fair point in general and esp for automotive (or any other moving application). Like i said i made this a long time ago and have learned since then. Ideally one would solder and glue the wire down to relieve stress. That said CrimpCons have their own down sides. Yes soldering can focus the stress to one spot but CrimpCons are much harder to proof again corrosion and water ingress (of course not really a problem in the case of the PSU). I have also seen em melt connectors due to loosening over time.
@barrymayson24927 ай бұрын
I used to work in the telecom industry and crimp was preferred on high end equipment. I thought it was daft but it proved to be correct and especially so on large diameter cables. These were all 48 volt DC power systems. If it's meant to be crimped crimp it I suppose is the answer .

Yeah i would have used thicker cables, thin cables can get hot and give you big problems. I use cables with silicon around it, that can have 200c, and i would not have soldered the cables to that back connector, i would have put what they called on the cables, and put them om the 3 conrectors, so can remove it all without soldering anything. I also made my own DIY power supply, i made him bigger, and put a good power supply board in it, and is 48V and 8.1A, so i can go up to around 50v, and put a 90mm fan in the top that always runs, but fast enough for good cooling, and slow enough you can almost not hear it. If you go to my channel, you see my DIY Power Supply, in the ver short video: "HandSkit T12 Solder Station 24V 5A, display not working"
