I would like to raise and breed Nigerian goats primarily for their specific type of milk that they produce. Since there will be a 50/50 chance that male baby goats will be born, why not raise them as wethers and use them for meat when they reach a certain maturity? I'm looking at this as a solo person trying to live efficiently in a sustainable homestead. Every video that I have watched regarding Nigerian goats, using wethers for meat was never discussed. Is the quality of the meat of Nigerian wethers not desirable?
