The writing of All Might amazes me more with every season. Around the time that Deku got blackwhip, the automatic assumption made by the audience was, "Oh okay, i see. Deku will use his analytical skills to help him learn how to master all of his quirks by learning to use his friends abilities. Power of friendship trope kind of thing." But then to subvert the expectation and have ALL MIGHT be the one to do that! Incredible writing. It came full circle brining it back to that same rooftop in episode 1 where All Might began to realize he wasn't living up to his own ideal, and that anyone can be a hero. We've been shown time after time what really makes a hero by the greatest of them all. He retired, but he never once stopped being who he is.
