My best time ever was making a Sim musician that lived in a city and tried to work his way up in his career. Feckin job opportunities arrived, went to Egypt and found out how much I loved exploring. After some irl days and a lot of late night guitar skill grind I got my Sim to the top of the career, got himself a mansion, an expensive car, saved up a lot and decided to travel to ALL the destinations and when i finally returned I was happily married to someone I met in China and had a son. Like, literally me irl became a successful composer that traveled worldwide. In Sims 4 that sort of thing dont really happens unless I go out of my way for it, cheat it, or pay for it (and I shall confess I pirated every sims game from 2 to 4) So that's why I love Sims 3 so much. I don't build a life, I live one. Let's also not forget that I wrote everything I did in that save file in a journal and if I get the energy and time, I can write a legit Diary/Biography haha, a simple gameplay of few days can become an entire biography

To me SIms 5 should have for its basegame: cars and other trransports, nightlife, university, jobs, cats and dogs and other small pets, weather, open worlds, boats, cities, towns, CAW, stories...... and the list could go on. you create a big big complete game, imagine all those EP's coming basegame, so you have moooore things to expand on future DLC.

This makes me miss sims 3. I left a good family there to play 4. I might need to revisit them

Most of this looks "promising but underwhelming." Except that new dance animation. That looks awful lmao EDIT: wait it's a full "expansion?" No way lmfaooooooo Also nobody else seems to have said it yet so I'll say it: both of those new traits could've been patched into romantic and unflirty (or whatever they're called, it's been a while since I played). The functionally-duplicated traits don't really add anything especially when there's already a limit of 3 normally.

So I recently started a new game and befriended a woman that was an alien and she apparently had me abducted every night until I became pregnant it was a strange play through after that.

I am 4 years late to comment here, Carl but I am sure by now you can see that Sims don't have traits. Instead, they have emotes/emotions which endlessly trigger stupid idles and that's it. That is why evil Vlad Straud isn't really that evil, he just laughs maniacally every 5 minutes and trolls the forums.

Right now, there is one KZbinr (Pixelade) who is calling players entitled and so on. I understand some want to defend Maxis, but really after all this time and all these awful broken packs and expansions these people make no sense. We have the right to criticize and complain, especially after we spent so much money on this game. We do not have to be grateful, because we didn't get it for free.

The language used for "romance" is so clinical and highbrow. Like "non-physical romance" so flirting, you mean flirting. Also there's flirting my sim might do and the possibility my Sim might get flirted with and the game still sees these as the same thing, no matter the context. I make most of my sims not affected by "non physical" romance so that they don't throw a temper tantrum for every flirt.

Have you considered doing an updated version of this challenge? I love listening to this series as background noise, and I seem to learn more each time I listen to it 😊

Glad I saw this before buying the pack, as an older Millennial that jas played sims when it was release( I was 12 ) I would definetely be disappointed as precious older versions were much better.

I have a couple of great mod ideas but I don't know a thing about coding in this game. Lol. Like, I would love a mod where you can confess to other people that you're a vampire, and they'll either be okay with it or run away from you screaming.

Everything in this new pack just seems to not hit for me, I guess I am burnt out from this game, it all just feels meh...

I usually build dorms that are not penthouse dorms just like hotels, with a floor of dorms connected to individual bathrooms placed above a first floor containing commons items and a cafeteria station complete with items that are permitted in dorms (minus the stoves and grills). If Home Chef Hustle is installed waffle makers are permitted in dorms but not pizza ovens.

So basically, Wicked Whims rip-off.

Nice to see you back with a new video. I miss them. The new pack looks nice but gives me a 'is this all?' kinda feeling. More like a game pack than an expansion pack.

With feeding toddlers in Sims 4 it's much much much easier to let the parent make a group meal, set it on the counter and let the kid take a plate. Not only is it faster and less buggy, the kid also gains movment skill and the food quality is better, meaning the kid's full for longer. But you have to watch out, as some toddlers don't like gourmet food.

oh man you sound burned out! stressing you out? yeah I gave up when they put out sims 4 for rent. I knew that was a BIG pack and they would screw it up. so I have avoided getting anything till they decide if they are going to support the game appropriately. they are. . .trying.

i love the sims 3 but i definitely hate that i cant move my sims to different worlds at will :(

I have a saved game where I have 100 plant boxes, and they're all filled with maxed out Dragon fruit plants. I make well over 2 million a day at this point, but that poor gardener...

I've been playing this pack for a while, and tbh its nice. I dont feel like this should have been an expansion of course, but it actually adds a lot of chaos to the game in a good way, it feels closer to sims 2 content than sims 4. Also the sims can be very volatile which I find funny thanks to the new attraction system, so I honestly am enjoying it. Now, that being said, this EP does feel like a bootleg version of Basemental, WW and SimsDa Dating App. I guess that console players will have fun with these features, but it is sad that pc players have had these features for years now and in a much better way with the mods, while console players are gonna be left with the simplified baby version of the og mods.

This is a terrible pack and update. Ill just stick with WW

Question: Are there any cheats for Scenarios? Specifically, I've accidentally missed an important call, and I can't seem how to get it to happen again. Is there a way to bring it back? Or at least just skip that step entirely so I can progress? I've tried searching for what to do in this situation, but somehow no one has accidentally declined a call (or at least, from what I can find), and the tricks I found probably only work for calls that just don't appear in the first place.

I can't believe they changed gendered titles like "Husband/wife" and "Girlfriend/boyfriend" but not "sister/brother" and "Aunt/uncle" 🤦‍♀️ Are the Sims team lazy or just incompetent?
