Just gorgeous, I forget about the seasons sometimes, all that snow. It's just amazing to contemplate flight. Birds have been doing it for millions of years, but for mankind to do so, that's another thing entirely.

Thank you for sharing this. Amazing perspective of Catalina. Takeaways: Surprisingly little kelp due to higher sea temperatures and over abundance of sea urchins. Scrub oaks are making a comeback following the eradication of goats and pigs.

What a great video of a Catalina landing ... breathtaking! I have landed a couple of times there flying out of KHHR shortly after I got my PPL at Security Aviation in 1993 and 1994 - but with today‘s cameras this is so beautiful - thx for 4k‘ing it!

yes & 4:38 when San Jacinto mountain comes in view i'm passing just to the west of San Gorgonio peak
