We recommend white fillings because they aren't as durable as silver fillings so that you will have to keep coming back to the Dentist. Don't trust silver fillings despite their century long track record.

How can we know that we need to extract the baby tooth .?

I think puttng binky under tyre will work for my 2 year old son as he loves wheels. Other strategies of dipping in unpleasant sauce or may be apple cider vinegar or cutting the binky in front of the child also seem to work.

I’m 42 and and had the shark teeth they weren’t budging. I had the worst experience with dentist as a kid. Telling me they were pulling my tooth! I remember it being painful and seeing blood. I now have anxiety regarding dental appointments. I made sure to take my kids to a great wiggle dentist that have TVs and cool sunglasses

In all cases, absolutely not. Just because it’s amalgam fillings are cheaper than composite ones doesn’t make them better for you. Yeah, they may be better in terms of your pockets, but are they better in terms of long-term health? Think about that.

My son has the open bite now at 14 months. I just snipped our last one 😮‍💨 RIGHT in front of him. He seen the process. Didnt cry but was confused. He understands “all done” and says all done in sign language. And we just kept repeating all done as he chewed the snipped paci. Just got him down for a nap, i still breastfeed so it was easy. But he wakes frequently and puts his paci in on his own to fall back asleep. Worried about what to do about that! But i guess we’ll see 😬

I get this done on Saturday and my whole mouth is on fire!! The dentist took chunk of tooth out where the cavities were and done the white filling. My tooth and gums are very very sore! Am I allergic to it?

Good technique having someone hold his hands. My two-year-old son will always grab the brush. But what if you can’t get him to even open his mouth? My son will close his mouth tightly and if I do manage to get the brush in his mouth, he will bite down on it, so I can’t brush. If I can get his mouth open, he will cover his teeth with his tongue. Even if I use brute force and his mom is holding him down, it’s still not easy.
