The instructions are wrong. The Shimano service manual says the yellow marks need to be aligned in 6th gear.

I have chronic slip disc for 11 years and I can walk about an hour before I have to lie down bcoz my back cramps up or my legs start to spasm. I like that it could attach to a normal wheelchair, i get back cramps when I use my normal wheelchair as I still have a working spine but it's being disturbed by dislocated disc. Slip disc people are d in betweens, can walk but cant walk long, cant stand long, cant sit long. A regular wheelchair w d connect would give me 3 options, to use my hand when I am too tired to cycle, cyle to be at par with other family members whose walking/chase my little kids or someone could push me when I am too tired (but who-lah gonna push me, my hubby is holding two kids with his two hands) And I x have to buy the third wheelchair. I got auto wheelchair, manual wheelchair, rollator and a cane. I wish people are more aware of d mobility challenge patients.

hi Johnny, saw this for the first time today. I didn't know that you had two different Berkel bikes, as I've only seen you in the cybathlon up to now. Can you share any details about engaging and disengaging the FES without assistance from hands, and how about braking oh, how is that accomplished? How much arm power is required? On my indoor cycle trainer, like an average 3 Watts over an hour, or as much as eight Watts for 1 minute. Is that enough to get going or stay going on level ground? Shimano documentation indicates that adjustment should be made when set to 6th not the 5th gear!
