Good video! I'm an old geezer too, 73 last June, bought one of these from Sweetwater a while back, $180 back then. In my time, I've had some very high end guitars, including a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom, a 1973 Gibson SG Pro, a Gibson ES225 of uncertain vintage, and the guitar that I played for most of my life, a 1961 Fender Jazzmaster that I bought used in 1970. I like this Yamaha as much or better than either of my Gibsons. I like the Jazzmaster just a bit more, really miss that guitar, had to sell it in 2016 when money got tight. In my opinion, this guitar is comparable to much more expensive models, can probably hold its own with Fender Strats made in Mexico. Anyway, I'm very glad to see another older guitar player having fun with budget equipment. Compared to back in the old days, budget guitars are amazingly good as long as you do your research and find the gems among the lumps of coal. 🙂

The stewmac string action gauge is the original product. I bought mine almost 20 years ago,when it first came out,and I still have it now.

My grandkids worked for 5 months and then it stopped working. Screen just has a bunch of lines on it, if there is customer support somewhere I cant find it, no reset button. I wouldn't buy another one of these.

In photo quality, these cameras that are sold with several different brand names, are roughly equivalent to a small digital camera from 20 to 25 years ago. Cameras that were about 1 or two megapixels.

Not nearly as by accurate as a standard measuring gauge. A “range” might be okay but it’s not repeatable from one guitar to another.

Does yours have a 2 prong wire to plug into the outlet? I got the same one from amazon it came with my guitar and it has 2 prongs, which I've been hearing are unsafe. How can you stay safe while playing with 2 prongs without getting shocked?

I’ve just bought the basic 20 watt bass amp. Cost me £26. Have to say, it’s very, very tinny. It’s basic, but it does a job for the house. I could have spent a lot more cash and bought a decent one. I should say, I sold my Fender Rumble 500, but I don’t gig anymore.

That is a very pretty guitar and sounds good to. I do gospel music only at My house and I got 219 dollar Pacifica and it has the sound Im looking for for My specific music that Im just writing at home. I made a little truss rod adjustment and put 9 42 ernie ball supper slinkys on it and I could not be happier with the tone. Im going look at the deluxe model for My back up guitar. I had a smok novo master once and it had a catastrophic failure, Completely toast after the first month. right now I am currently using a Vapresso xros 4 and haven't had any sort of issues with it.
