The problem with the Brazilian electoral system is that the counting of votes is electronic, carried out by an outsourced company and the system is not auditable. Joking or not, it makes an impact to talk about a change in the national flag, keeping an electoral system without inaudible. Why can't we have an auditable electoral system in Brazil?

During lockdown I was watching a lot of older television shows… one in particular was one she appeared on (I won’t name the show as I feel she probably has moved on in the last 18 years and probably wants to keep the past in the past) but it’s so refreshing and nice to see that she has excelled in life, she always came across quite an articulate and intelligent woman. This was such an interesting speech/presentation.

Industrial Design is the original design field that includes all mediums in which we interact and experience our environment. Other design fields may specialize in things like digital experiences, graphics, etc... But it's all a part of industrial design.

Abdul Hameed the engineer does concrete designs based on laws of physics and modern applied science. Industrial designers don't do concrete work. I never seen them build bridges or design machineries tbh. They usually strive for the artsy side at the end. I'm an engineer. Even though I call them hipsters, Sometimes I wish I could do art instead of engineering.

industial engineering is known as imagine me as your boss engineering. you learn how to manage and do the logistics of a company. the two are quite different.

You spoke my thoughts on Industrial Design Maximilian! Glad to hear from someone with the same mindset. I had doubts of this career path during the last 6 months but just this short video alone has refreshed my mindset. I will continue my studies with ID with the intention of designing for necessity. There are so many products available in this day and age which aren't a requirement for the better of the human race, this concerns me just as it does you. Just producing for the sake of profit isn't right, especially knowing the damage caused to our world. Design for necessity not desire! Thank you

Good idea, the movement of letters and words ilustrating hat the text says in movement and "dancing" to the music. But the choose of time lapse between sentences is a bit fast, even for people used to read, and the letter typography don't help. It makes the entire good idea worst in terms of video production. (Not a natural english speaker, less a writter, but I can read at normal speed). Anyway nice video.

product design is part of industrial design and specific about objects (usually small like pencil sharpener, hair dryer) whereas ID involves heavier stuff like transportation systems, space capsule and more

I think that, as an Industrial Designer, you have also the ability to design services too, of course it depends on where you study. University of Buenos Aires is an excellent place to learn, free of charge and great.

Yes, you need to know (not like an Engineer, but almost) Maths and Physics. It is very important for us (you cannot design anything without 'em).

I was at a networking event and I told people I was a product designer instead of an industrial designer just to make it easier. Most didn't even know what that was either.

Semantics. Product Design is just a more modern name. I prefer Industrial Design, has roots in history etc. But if you tell someone you're an Industrial Designer vs a Product Designer...one takes much less, if any explanation. Guess which one? (The latter)

pfft..if it impacts life and has a international day, then start PAYING THE DESIGNERS BETTER!! It's ridiculous how designers are being treated these days, the salary is low compared to what the actually do and it takes years to get hired( if!). Then they pay douchebag celebrities millions to promote the great products that these designers have created!
