Funny thing now everybody uses Zoom lock and they also have o-rings?

Same o-ring in propress fittings.

Nothing lasts forever. Im in Texas and have used shark bite fittings for 20 years in some jobs and none have failed, even the ones in the ground that outlasted the copper lines that got pinholes.

They work fine in places you can get to them. I wouldn't recommend putting them inside any wall they are not a permanent fix .

The old school way of soldering is the best! It worked for 100 years

Same with a pro press. They use o rings

I was always a bit skeptical of those fittings… yet, they do seem to be a quick, easy option… having used a couple on a few repairs lately (exposed in basement )
@TexasHighlands3 ай бұрын
They are a great temporary solution. And being in a basement with visible access it’s not a big issue if you use them. It’s more of being behind walls and in at attic, when they leak they can cause mold issues.
