Greetings Cody, I was wondering what motorized system you use to automatically lower the screen and raise it the way you show it? And my second question: Do you go through Companion to program it? Thanks in advance for your help and for making these videos. You have no idea how you are contributing to the Kingdom of God.
@codynpatterson4 ай бұрын
Most projector screens are motorized, you can by a motorized project screen even from Amazon! Just gotta make sure it’s either networkable or has GPIO input. Ours is GPIO enabled so we use a networked GPIO device to send commands in companion to lower the screen.
@codynpatterson6 ай бұрын
A note of correction! You DO use the “text” for RossTalk from the Resi website, NOT the command. However, you don’t include the “CC” so only enter “Play” or “FFB” etc.
@jonschellhardtАй бұрын
would this be a possible method of stopping the stream through something like Companion? Not very versed on RossTalk yet, sorry if I'm ignorant.
@MichaelHardee-i2v7 ай бұрын
"cc play" and others are how you enter in the custom controls in Dashboard - Ross' software where you can create custom controls to also talk with Resi.
@codynpatterson5 ай бұрын
Can you use this software independently even if you’re not using a Ross Switcher? If so that’s awesome!
@xJazzyMike23x5 ай бұрын
@@codynpattersonI believe that is what the companion app is doing. It’s using Ross Talk to speak to Resi. So, in your case, you are using Ross Talk via ProPresenter to hit a specific command within companion that can speak to a particular IP via Ross Talk again. 😅
@codynpatterson5 ай бұрын
@@xJazzyMike23x right that’s what we are doing but this process doesn’t include Ross Dashboard. What I was asking is if dashboard can be used without a switcher, because it seems as if what the original poster was saying would be possible if so! What we do right now is just use the RossTalk protocol. Different from the dashboard softward.

i don't see the point unfortunately. i always been having hearing issues even before getting involved in IEM/audio devices. Since getting into these hobby, i actually noticed my hearing has improved at least slightly. And all of them NOT because of Custom in-ear monitor. Features such vent / back pressure release is NOT out of ordinarily found on NON Custom IEMs.
@codynpatterson5 ай бұрын
@@faisalfirdausiinn4708 venting isn’t just for musicians, anyone using in-ears for long period of time can make use of them. Venting doesn’t exist in in-expensive non-custom inears though. The video was specifically for musicians and singers on stage, using in-ears with venting is less fatiguing and causes less wear in the ear. It’s science.
@faisalfirdausiinn47085 ай бұрын
@@codynpatterson Alright, i take note that the video was meant for Musician. However specifically about (the most basic) venting for the purpose of pressure release, it does exist even on $3 IEM. i am not sure myself what kind of venting 'technology' you were talking about, but i don't mean venting with flip-flap which opens itself via mechanical control (if any). Still i did look into Bellos Audio X2, they were talking about SEAL.. and not about VENT. Listening to them, i can admit they were offering something most IEMs in the market could not achieve. WIth that being said, most IEMs in the market (even non custom) are still very much relevant to MOST MUSICIANS that does not need extra attention to their SEAL.
@codynpatterson5 ай бұрын
@@faisalfirdausiinn4708I’m not sure what you’re commenting about as it’s irrelevant to the video. Venting does NOT exist on $3 headphones. If you have in-ears in they create a vacuum seal. You have to have venting to allow pressure to be removed. Otherwise the force on your ear drums is not sustainable long term. Only a few in-ear monitor builders have this option, the very first to have ever offer it was 64 Audio. Look up Adel Inear Venting. It was the first of its kind and has now been implemented in various ways in high-end custom in-ear manufactures. But not in all models or with all companies. This is a real issue and the video is to help musicians be aware of it, since they rely on a sealed in-ear environment so often.
@faisalfirdausiinn47085 ай бұрын
@@codynpatterson Thanks for the search keyword. i happened to view INEARZ EUPHORIA ADEL. So yes, indeed we were both talking different kind of venting and you surely spoken much-much advanced vent which comes with channel/tube. Anyway, from the same search keyword, i landed on this title "The effect of APEX modules / front venting holes (with measurements)" on Reddit. .. which seem to agree with me that most IEMs (including AirPods) does have vent but more in a 'classical/economy' way. Side note: i agree KZ ZST does NOT has vent.

We barely talk about money. 🤷♂️ don’t even pass a “basket” around like so many others have for centuries. Without the production level we have we’d have far less money and would give far less back to the community because we’d have far less people giving. It’s really not hard.

We wouldn’t be able to give millions to charity (which we do) without people. And this many people wouldn’t be here without the production. So actually, it does matter. Awesome and interesting reminder! Similar things I have heard is that when it comes to Black Magic cameras, you don’t want power both monitor and the camera from same tap battery with the HDMI cord in because that could fry the hdmi port. In generally I think it will be a good idea when you power a multiple things from same non-ac outlet like a battery (expecially when the dive is run in different voltages) to first disconnect cables running between them. At least hdmi and sdi just in case. Should not be that way when it comes to equipment but might be just poor design of the manufacturer, idk. Voltages on startup and shutdown spikes can always be little different from the equipment usual operating one. Might be just two edge cases. Do you take other cables out on power-on/shut-down? For stationary cameras as well? You have other powering on / off tricks? I have done according to your video for years just out of habit na just in case because of ringing cameras and taking them back to storage after service. I have also learned that in general when it comes to production equipment the order you power and shut things down makes usually a difference most people usually ignore. But why?
@codynpatterson Жыл бұрын
I have no clue why it happens with 12g SDI and not 3g. I’m probably completely wrong but I heard it’s something to do with power surging through the sdi connector when an a sdi cable is plugged in while turning on/off the camera. There are full blown power attenuators built by third parties now to try to protect these ports from the issue 🤦
