Caveat: I made a rhythm mistake! It's towards the end, so you all will have to listen to more than the 30% most people listen to in order to hear it :) And if you don't have the printed music, you probably won't even notice it.

You're absolutely correct! Thanks for letting me know. I found that picture on Wikipedia for Kaspar Kummer, but now I can't find any pictures of him. Guess I should have found a 2nd source before using the photo.

Amazing job, I’m playing part three for my solo and ensemble (I’m always given the super low notes as I’m the only flute able to play the low low notes lol) and this helped me a lot!!- from a really desperate Highschool kid

I'm so glad you found it helpful! Low notes are definitely difficult - especially if your flute has leaks in the keys ;-) Good for you getting them out well.

Thanks, Erika! It was interesting to learn about her. Wikipedia said her cause of death was diagnosed as "intestinal tuberculosis". But if you scroll way down on the page, it said it also could have been Crohn's disease, which the label wasn't available in 1918.

Haha - maybe not so pleasant after the 10th take, but I still manage to keep a smile at the beginning of every video. Then the smile at the end is one of accomplishment. I'm thankful that I've been given a talent & have the discipline to hone it. I get a lot of solace from the process of making music, and that's where the smiles come from. Thanks for your comment & listening! It's nice to know that you're enjoying it.
