seems Blackhawks have 4 choices. Silayev, Levshunov, Demidov, Lindstrom. I have no idea where they will untimately go with that #2 pick. They can use all of them so it makes it tough to figure what they will do.

could Kyle make a deal to trade down a few spots, maybe with Montreal ? gonna be interesting to see what he will do. My guess is that he stays at #2 and takes Levshunov.

Very interesting show. The Wings will get a really good player at 15 and I hope they draft a winger. As Devin said, maybe one that plays opposite of Raymond. I personally would take Eiserman if he's available. On a separate note, i just started hearing rumors of a Laine trade and if i were SY, I'd take a chance on him, as he could be taken for cheap and we all know Stevie can steal. The draft and what surrounds it is one of the funnest times of the hockey year.

Good show, fellows! I'm ambivalent about mock drafts because they're fun and interesting, but on the other hand, they always break down, especially once you get down past the first few picks.

I know that people are slow to forgive things but I think Trevor Connelly is a top 5 talent in this draft and I think the kid deserves a second chance. He made a stupid immature mistake and has made every effort to make up for it. You can't ruin the rest of his life for sharing a post and if it were not for that, he would probably be gone in the top 5 but will most likely be sitting there when we pick so take a chance.

How can Saros or Ullmark coming with extensions prior to the draft when Nashville & Boston cant even extend the players themselves until July 1. Risky trade with either if they decide they either want more $$$$ to extend or change their minds about staying in Ottawa. Risk of a 1 year rental. At least with Markstrom, you get 2 years & know what you get. He would be the best goalie since Anderson Ottawa has had. Doubt Flames want to part with #9, #28 probably sure but the #7 would probably force Conroy to retain 25-50% on Markstrom + take on Joseph, or force him to take #7, Korpi & Joseph with no retention for Markstrom & the #28. A deal could be had. Flames have 19 players signed & no expensive players to sign & $21.0 mill of cap space. That could be a valuable piece to find a mutual deal.
@kellyzak23753 күн бұрын
As a Flames fan, I think Conroy would definitely be on board with a Markstrom for a #7 and Korposalo type deal. We're where you were a few years ago trying to load up on prospects and picks and making use of salary cap room. Now you're looking to make the playoffs and I deal like we both mentioned would help both our teams get where we want to go.

You have to be very naive to think the players are giving honest answers versus answers the teams want to hear.the combine means absolutely nothing. Scouts and managers need to understand what they are looking at when looking at young players how they think heads up or not board battles perimeter players versus net drivers there are sooooo many things to look at. When comes to big or small it depends how you play if you are small and play a small game your a low ceiling player..Then we have someone like Josh Anderson he looks on paper like star but he is a DUMB player so size doesn't matter at all if your hockey IQ is low.

Hell No to Chychrun and the 25th. We NEED a RD for Chicky! Best goalie in the league would suck in Ottawa with the piss poor defence they have. They need defensive DMan! Way too many "puck movers" and nothing on the right side.

Markstrom, Andersen # 28 for #7 & Chychrun?
@DizzyDez6132 күн бұрын
@@kevinr.5558As a Sens fan, I would probably do that. - Improve Chychrun into Andersson ✅ Huge win. - Good goalie and the 28th for 7th? It’s tough, but it might be what we’d need to spend. I’m personally not a huge Markstrom guy. He’s getting pretty old. 34 or 35, I believe. I’ll give you Chych and one of our picks (not 7th) for Rasmus Andersson though. lol 😂
@kevinr.55582 күн бұрын
@@DizzyDez613 Lol no the whole point of trading Andy is to get that #7. He has 2 years left at a great cap hit versus 1 year of Chych. Bobrovski is 35 & has played amazing getting Florida to the finals 2 years in a row. He had some rough years initially where people were saying Florida should buy him out. Look at him now. Ive watched Marky for the last 4 years & he's the best goalie we've had since Kipper. He's a very sound solid goalie that can win you games. Goalies are voodoo from year to year. Saros numbers werent that great this year either. Marky would be the best goalie the Sens would have had since Anderson. The fact he has 2 years left makes it less risky for the Sens or whoever gets him.

Gus the bus was good for 1 season on a strong defensive team. Last season he crapped the bed. Brossoit is projected by AFP analytics to get $2,138,627 on a 2 year contract. If you can trade forsberg somewhere you could most likely sign Brossoit for 2.5 and still free up cap. So no you don't have to trade Korpi to get Brossoit. How do you pay Saros when his contract is up. People have been reporting That Nashville is actually trying to sign Saros again for at least a couple of weeks now. Reports are his agent is waiting for Shesterkin re-signs in NY. He is expected to go for around 12 to 12.5 million. The rumors are that Saros and his agent want at least 75 to 80% of that contract as a starting point for his. That comes in around 9 to 10 million. How do you fit that into the sens cap the season after with the cap going up by an estimated 4 million? You are going have to shed players to fit him in. They already have 5 guys at around 8 million and they are having trouble fitting in Pinto's contract. Hint: Last years playoffs final 4 teams all had something in common. None had over 4 players with 8 million plus cap hit. And Vegas still had to use LTIR. Keep that up, and you become the Leafs. Top heavy contract load and no supporting cast.

Ullmark for Chychrun (one for one trade) is the limit Sens should pay for him, unless Ullmark signs a new contract. Bruins ask is absolutely insane, especially since goalies don't historically go for much. Bruins are asking a player of Chychrun caliber, a first round pick, plus another selection. I mean, cmon' he's their backup goaltender at the tail end of their contract.

He had exprerience as a GM in the AHL. But, we have to give him a chance. Dorion spent money and sacrificed the future of this organization by trading away picks and depleting the Senators farm talent. The Ottawa Senators need to be smart and creative for the off-season trades, saying that Sean Walker Rd Def. might be a nice add to the team at the right price. I would consider Martin Jones as a good backup Goalie at a cheap price.- $950,000. Warren Foegele would be a solid winger at a cheap price. And last maybe Mattias Janmark at the right price. Good luck Ottawa in the season -save cap space.

Berkly Catton shouldn't even be a consideration.. skilled guy sure. He's just more of the same for us though.. He does not bring anything new or different to Ottawa. If it's forward it's Lindstrom/Iginla or bust. RHD it's Levshunov, Parekh, or Yakemchuk. Knowing what we have heard from Sens management and coaches, I would bet a good chunk of money one of those 5 are the pick.
