Winston Churchill was deeply upset about the sinking of HMS Hood because it was a devastating loss for the British Royal Navy during World War II and a severe blow to national morale. 1. HMS Hood Was a Symbol of British Naval Power - It was the pride of the Royal Navy, one of the largest and most famous warships in the world. Losing it was a major psychological and strategic setback. 2. Massive Loss of Life - Out of 1,418 crew members, only three survived when HMS Hood was sunk by the German battleship Bismarck on May 24, 1941. This tragic loss was one of the greatest maritime disasters for Britain. 3. A Public and Strategic Disaster - Churchill knew the British public would be shocked and demoralized. The loss of such a powerful ship raised concerns about British naval strength. 4. Determination for Revenge - Churchill immediately ordered the Royal Navy to hunt down and sink the Bismarck at all costs. His famous order was: "Sink the Bismarck!" - Just a few days later, on May 27, 1941, the Royal Navy successfully destroyed the Bismarck. Churchill saw the sinking of HMS Hood as both a military disaster and a personal tragedy. It fueled his resolve to defeat Nazi Germany and prevent further losses.

Every statistic taken highlights that the side with tanks on their side in a battle are more likely to be successful. They are vulnerable when used incorrectly, but drone jammers and an active protection system like the idf trophy system could quickly and easily deal with the drone issue.

what a load of bullshit, wouldn't last 5 minutes on the battlefield, just like are aircraft carrier that keeps breaking down, with no planes?
@amandarhodes4072
@amandarhodes4072 24 күн бұрын
WTF are you talking about? By what measure can you determine this tank would not last 5 minutes? Unlike Russia when we produce a new piece of military hardware it lives up to the promises we say it can make. As for the carrier where have you been hiding for the past 6 months? No new advanced weapon system in history has been without teething issues to resolve. The US nuclear carriers still have teething issues after almost 20 years. The carriers had a drive shaft issue from a defective manufacture that has been resolved on both ships. The same issue that caused the flooding that was reported months prior. I have personally seen 14x F-35B onboard the HMS EQ when I was in Portsmouth so they do have aircraft aboard.

Likely rubbish or massively overrated and now redundant. Considering the performance of their troops in a certain current conflict, even if these were good, a few Mavics will sort them out That is assuming they don't just drive haphazardly into each other first. *Plays clown music*

you're comparing a tank from 2017 to a tank from at least 2001 in reality 2a6 is modification to the 2a5 wich is 90s tank, if you want to compare leopard to a t90M, compare to a leopard 2a7 or 2a8

The one that gets the other one first comes out on top. The crew might even be more important than the machine. ERA does nothing against anti tank missiles from above as we have seen many times in Ukraine.

The LEOPARD 2A is on the defense, so it has the tactical advantage. Accuracy means range, but if it can't fire without giving away it's position, it can still paint a target for laser guided artillery.
