Wow! What a place to fish...it's enormous. How long is the drive for you to get there? I agree with David regards the underwater footage...helps to have that clear water too. Loved the video and Mitsy learning well. The rods have a nice action and look to be perfect for the job. Keep up the filming, Bream King❤

Thanks, Mike. It is 1 n half hours from my house. The rods are surprisingly perfect. I thought they may have been a little overgunned, but there have a nice forgiving action. Mitsy has been doing well, although once we sit down, she goes into protective mode.

Hi Gary. Great vids. My 2 friends and I Are thinking of having a fishing holiday up there on Windermere. We have been going to Ireland in May every year except Covid for 50 years this May gone. Are there any restrictions on baits, groundbait etc in May, on the lakes, any close season ?? I have 2 rods same as your new ones, found the handles too long so got guru to get me 2 black butt ends and cut them down, by that much now perfect. When using in Ireland I always put an alarm on with bobbin just down by its own weight, using the quiver tip, then any touch alerts you, as fishing in such wonderful surroundings you can enjoy the birds, wildlife etc without missing any takes😆😆 Cheers John. Ha be subscribed and look forward too more videos

Hi. There's no restrictions on esthwaite. Unfortunately, after the end of September, the owners 2ill be leaving, and the greythwaite estate will be taking over. So it could be free fishing . As for windermere, I believe anything goes apart from between March 15 and June 16th. Advise no keepnets. Windermere is free. Head to strawberry gardens, a mile south of strawberry gardens is a car park which is 7.50 a day. . Fish in the carpark area. But use deeper sonar software which you will get sonar depths for windermere. 17.50 a year and a must. Find 25 ft of water both esthwaite and windermere can produce weights in 3xcess of 300 lb and I know lads who have had well over 400 lb in a day. Be bold if you want big weights. It's hit and miss as you k ow with bream fishing, but anything between 60 and 100 bream can happen. Enjoy the fishing . Also, big trout over 6lb and big roach . Pike also well over 30 lb regular

No you must ring and book the pegs. And pay at the shop. Car park peg 1 is shallow but can catch 300 lb plus when bream arrive. Peg 2 carpark is deep and pulls same weights personally peg 6 boat house lovely snug and productive. Peg 7 is the roomiest peg. All pegs capable of 300 lb plus . Best weights from peg 7 at 450 and peg 1

@soultrader57fishingandmusi25 fished the pass stretch a lot, and before they acquired it after pendle had it. It's very shallow and Peggy. Some big barbel and chub in the stretch. Done some big nets of dace opposite the weeping willow. And the pissing billy outflow. Had a lot of big sea trout further along on the factory over the years. They settle there and tend to come out as it goes dark. I hooked a few that never stop once you hook them and pop the line. . Fun stretch 🤪

Hi Gary. Once the breams patrol route is discovered i think you'll be onto a specimen fish. Big water. I sometimes look on the net for decent topographical photos of a venue, to see if there are any noticeable colour changes in the photo that could indicate gravel bars. Failing that i will put a bomb on the rod, cast it and drag it back a bit at a time to get a feel of the lake bed...i want the harder areas, to avoid deep silt. I know you know this anyway. Those rocks in the water...do they cover the lake bed? Keep going mate...natural baits all the way👍

It's a personal challenge this water. I've avoided it for over twenty years and I will defo catch what I'm after later in the year. Anxiety has stopped me. It's very low stock, and the bream go upper double figures and over twenty. It is neglected but the good news is I have a new plan. There are no course anglers on the venue, and it's the size of darwen. So I ain't giving up if I cat h a fish it's worth more than a 200 lb bag of fish I can catch this week next week or any week on a typical high stocked water. I want a fish twice the size I usually catch just to see a fish, possibly 20 years old, which will be better than any fish for me.

On peg seven there's a shallow bank at 25 yards max of approx 16 ft deep. If they want to feed at that depth there there on it. But sometimes they wanna be out at range. Which is maybe 28 , 30 feet deep. It's a bit trial and error on the day. There's a few esthwaite films I've made. I've put alot of different techniques depth areas on the film. Hope you enjoy the films

Thanks for the positive comments. Dannys is a good lad. Fished with Danny for a number of years. I don't always film sessions and havn,t for a few weeks after I pulled something in my hip. If you like your bream fishing, keep watching. I'm hoping to be out on a tricky little swim on heapeys 2 resevoir, which is mega deep. And another very big water may next week . I'm probably going for some very big bream.

How deep would you say this is 40 to 50 yards out
@garywilliamsandmitsy
@garywilliamsandmitsy 4 ай бұрын
In that area I've sonared it. From 30 yards out, it's 16 ft. From 30 yards to 55 yards, it tapers gradually on average to 29 feet.. this is a glacial lake, and these depths and contours vary from year to year. I've sonared the southern end, which is deep silt at 8 to 13 feet. Depth isn't an issue with wild bream. I've fished 40 feet on some waters. It's not unusual yo catch 300 lb plus fish at 29 feet or short line at 25 yards and 16 feet deep on the same days. Uts impossible not to catch on esthwaite. Its uncomplicated natural wild. And fish are glad to be fed in such a feed sparse area. Hope this helps.
