This is my grandfather's truck that was supposed to go to me in his will but the insurance company took it for him to be able to go into a nursing home. I feel so horrible seeing this posted on here.

Hi 👋 viewing from New Zealand. I love this car. Beautiful condition for a 1973 model. I had a high school friend in the 1970s, and his uncle drove one exactly the same as this. Colour everything. Very nice it was. From Carl.

Please, Buick never called it "Super Eight", just SUPER. Hudson and Packard fielded "Super Eight" models, as they also had 6 cylinder models. All Buicks had 8 cylinders.

It is not a panel truck, they were built on heavier chassis. This is a "sedan Delivery" built on a car chassis.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning vehicles any more....:-((

The Buick two door hardtop was called a Riviera. Like the two door hardtop Olds was called the Holiday. Also the 50 Buick was the only production model with the ventiports(portholes) on the hood.

I just watched a KZbin video about the Singer Tower. I'm always amazed when I find something like this that I never knew existed. I was amazed at all of the, at the time, modern technology that was incorporated into the building. It must have seemed magical taking a non-stop ride up to the 40th floor, filling your glass with ice cold clean filtered water from the tap, or breathing in clean filtered air instead of the dirty city air. It must've been heart breaking to the people who built it to watch it come tumbling down or to even just hear about it, but it became obsolete & impractical. I'm just glad there are pieces like this clock still around. If I had the time I'd like to figure out what was salvaged & what was left behind for the demolition crews. I bet the crew found a few more items to salvage. I knew a guy who operated heavy machinery & had been knocking down buildings for 60+ years & they always get the last look, obviously. But he had one of the biggest & most interesting antique collections I've ever seen, lots of old porcelain signs & pretty much everything you could think of. He passed away about a decade ago but his son had no interest in taking over the family business, broke his heart. His grandfather started the business & left it to his son, ETC, but with nobody left to take over he was forced to either sell the business or just close up shop. The business wasn't so much about money as it was a labor of love & a place where father, son & grandson could hang out & shoot the shit. It's a shame how technology & the idea that you "MUST GO TO COLLEGE" if you want to be successful in life has produced a generation of boys who can't even jack up their own car, let alone change the flat tire. Now because of their poor choices they think their student loans should be forgiven? Half of the millenial generation & probably 90% of the GenZ generation are as useless as a screen door on a submarine. Here endith the rant.

Auschwism Hello, I have the clock now. If you’re still interested email me at [email protected] and I will get you better photos and information. We can also discuss it and pricing if you wish. My number is 215-749-2104. I am in New Jersey so it’s 10:16 here and I’ll be asleep soon. Thanks, Dave

Damn, I thought for sure the answer would be no. It's gotta be gone by now but the post was like 4 yrs old when you asked about the clock. I love history of The United States. The U.S. is only 245 yrs old, which is young when compared to the rest of the world. For example, China has antiques that 1,000's of years old. I'm sure other countries must just laugh when we say we have a 240 year old coin.
