A nearby must visit spot is Three Finger Gulch. Massive cliffs with nesting birds, caves, meadow with small stream, old rock corral. Motorcycle, quad, or 4wd needed to get there but one of the most beautiful places to see IMO.

Can you explain the permits and fees you needed to obtain from the park you needed to film your video? You had a combo of stills and video. Did you need separate permits for both? How far in advance did you need to get your permit?

Nice tour! I didn't see mention the rocks that travel across the floor. Also don't remember what it's called 🥴 but it's pretty cool. If you like to read, a book I loved about the Mojave desert was written by Edna Brush Perkins around 1922 about her exploration of the Mojave at that time. "The White Heart of the Mojave". I listened to an audio version I found on librivox or project gutenberg. The narrator was perfect for the book. Another interesting book is "The Mojave Phone Booth" by Godfrey Daniels. You could just Google the Mojave phone booth (JohnHart Real estate blog) and get the condensed version of the history of the phone booth. It was installed for the Cimes mine.
