It’s a Peruvian Ingerder…injects it’s eggs into the fish, they hatch in 3 days and eat their way through the fish and out its mouth. Leaving the fish dead.

@ampedupoutdoors7299 We have always had grinner( bowfin, shupic) here in Central MS. They are cousins of Snake heads. Google bowfin. The old black share croppers said cook it warm. Filets, no skin. Cut out any bloodlines. Fry or pan fry. The meat turns soft really fast so cook it that evening.
