I know its 2 years old but i gotta say: for an 8 miinute video to have 2 miinutes of bla bla at the beginning is just unbearable. please jump to the content i clicked on the video for a lot faster. Then, once i got some information, i might be willing to listen to you promote your own stuff, but if its the first thing you throw at me, all i am doing is skipping ahead without listening.

Is there any way for loom mobile to record internal audio specially google meet conversion??

Hmmmm sadly as far as I know it needs to hear the recording. With that being said if you record google meets audio separately you can connect the two audio tracks in post.

I have exported my course as a scorm file, and it is a folder with many many things - you rushed through at the end and I have no idea which item from my exported folder to upload.
@e-learningpartners
@e-learningpartners 18 күн бұрын
When you export the file it should be a zip file correct? You will need to upload the entire zip file to LearnWorlds. So all of the folders you are seeing will be uploaded to LearnWorlds but is should all be packed in a zip file. Does that help?

Why companies do not make a cheaper version of articulte?
@e-learningpartners
@e-learningpartners Ай бұрын
That is a wonderful question. The great thing is, there is an LMS that has an amzing authoring tool built in called TalentLMS. In the past couple of months they launched their native authoring tool called "TalentCraft" which is an authoring tool that also harnesses the power of AI. What I love about it is that it is literally Rise 360 from the Articulate 360 suite, but it is integrating into TalentLMS already. The biggest benefit is that you don't have to pay for an expensive articulate license to use it because it is already built into your TalentLMS LMS. And, you can actually sign up for TalentLMS for an unlimited free trial by using my affiliate link here: bit.ly/ep-talentlms There is currently no time limit on how long you use the free trial. The only limitation you may run into is that you will only be able to have 5 users in your account (so you + 4 of your Learners). With that being said, TalentLMS is very inexpensive and high value compared to other LMSs and now you don't have to pay for Articulate 360 as well. I highly recommend you check it out since you can check it out for free and don't even have to give them a credit card - bit.ly/ep-talentlms.

Can anyone tell me What challenges do you face when building and managing e-learning websites and What features you wish existing platforms had?
@e-learningpartners
@e-learningpartners Ай бұрын
The biggest challenge I see in the work we do at eLearning Partners is when someone selects the wrong elearning platform or software to achieve their eLearning and online course goals. This is not only a common challenge, it is a challenge that I have a lot of empathy for since there are literally thousands upon thousands of technologies out there. And lets be honest, no one has the time to go out there and try all of them. Therefore, what I like to teach is there are really only 2 types of eLearning softwares out there 1) Internal eLearning software (i.e. internal learning management systems) - software that allows you to build, host, and serve courses to your employees, contractors and team members. My favorite is definitely TalentLMS (you can check it out with an unlimited free trial here - bit.ly/ep-talentlms) and yes that is an affilaite link, but it is no additional cost to you if you use the link. 2) External eLearning software (i.e. external learning management systems) - software that allows you to build, host, market, sell, and serve courses to your customers to purchase. My favorite it definitely kajabi (you can check it out for a 30 day free trial here - bit.ly/Kajabi-30-day-trial) and yes that is an affilaite link, but it is no additional cost to you if you use the link, but you get an extended trial.

Here is the bad, and I have 2 light boards, if you are live-streaming the time to clean the large board is annoying It takes time and your audience sees that. Not good. If you’re shooting and editing, it’s fantastic You can buy any table and drill holes to secure the table top version and throw a black tablecloth over it.
@e-learningpartners
@e-learningpartners Ай бұрын
That is a great point. Personally I have never taught on the board while live streaming. With that being said, I have used cleaning the board before as transition time between sections of a module I am recording and actually will show some of it sped up in the training. I wonder if there is a way to use it as transition time and just really lean into the fact that you are cleaning the board. Just integrate it into the course. Spray a ton of glass cleaner on it and go crazy haha. Could tell your students to take a short rest and stand up for a minute or something. You would have to plan when you want to use this as a transition though.

I've been trying to explain the differences to some folks where I work. I think what finally helped get the point across was that I explained that an LMS can do everything that a learning platform can do but not vice versa. For example, with most LMS's (i.e. eloomi, LMS365, Schoox, Docebo, etc.), you can upload courses from a learning platform like LinkedIn Learning or Udemy (for a fee of course). By doing so, you get the learning content but now have the functionality only available on an LMS. If you only use a learning platform, you will be very limited in what you can do in terms of customizing the learning experience, adding your own content (i.e. SCORM), and other more sophisticated tasks. For a smaller organization where you are just trying to offer employees professional development offerings, a learning platform could be a great investment. However, for larger companies where you are authoring and adding a lot of internal content and want to organize the content and categories specific to your organization, an LMS is probably the better choice. Most learning platforms don't want you to be able to modify and customize much of the learning experience. They typically come as they were developed (think Apple).

I def prefer Articulate Rise, it makes amazing courses and I like using Storyline as embedded parts of the Rise courses. But I am stuck with Captivate as it's what the company is using so I make the best of it.
@e-learningpartners
@e-learningpartners Ай бұрын
Agreed. Rise is so easy to use and works with storyline so well. Captivate seems old and an equated to me. With that being said, you should check out TalentLMS as an LMS because they just recently added an authoring component that is exactly like Rise 360 - almost 100% positive that they are whitelabeling Rise 360 functionality now. You can mess with it for free. Here’s some more information about it: * TalentLMS (bit.ly/ep-talentlms ) is also an internal learning management system, and our 100+ students and clients would agree that it is the lowest cost, highest value learning management system on the market focused on training employees and team members. This is because TalentLMS is extremely customizable so you can make sure that it serves you and your Learners at your company however you need it to.

Great video! I have a business-centric question: what if Kajabi goes down? What is your strategy for such a situation? Our company is looking to switch from Moodle LMS (with homebrew services) to other options due to bugs and many other challenges. Our LMS currently has over 4,000 candidates, with 2,000 new ones coming every year. We offer VILT, self-paced, on-site, and certification training. Please help!
@e-learningpartners
@e-learningpartners 2 ай бұрын
Great question. One of the biggest differences between Moodle LMS and Kajabi is that Kajabi's security, servers, maintenance, updates, etc. are 100% maintained by Kajabi's team unlike Moodle in which you have to manage a lot of that yourself. With that being said, we have been on Kajabi for 4+ years, and have never had any trouble with accessing what we need. More importantly, our students have never complained about not being able to access their training. If you would like to talk further about this the easiest way to get in contact with us would be to sign up for our free MasterClass and then reply to one of the emails that will be automatically sent to you. Also, our free masterclass will provide some additional guidance as well. Here is our Kajabi affiliate link for a free 30 day free trial when you are ready to test it out as well: bit.ly/Kajabi-30-day-trial
