Wow what a great voice! I prefer this cover to the original version. A talented young lady who also writes good original songs. I have seen her in Edinburgh folk clubs, she is a class act and well worth going to see.

I sang this song at my grandmothers funeral... but I have to say this is by the best version of one of my favourite songs ive ever heard!! Such an amazing voice!! As a great admirer of the works of Burns, Im sure he would have been extremely proud of this version!! xx

+Gary Cleghorn oh Gary, I've only just found this comment. It has brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry to hear of your Grandmother's passing. And, as you, very kindly, say that Burns would be proud of my version, I am equally assured that your grandmother would have been so proud of yours. Thanks again Gary. Sending all my love, Holly xxx

Hey Gary.... can't help but say thank you again for being so kind.... to take time to leave comments :O) I've not been performing for a while due to concentrating on recording. An album hopefully, plus I'm about to embark on a small Scottish songs project - which I'm really excited about, as I've not done any traditional material for a long while! xxx

Excellent!! I`ll have to look out for that... If you have a look at my channel you might find ive covered some familiar songs... including ye banks and braes (which ive been invited to perform at a burns supper this year). Any idea when your album will be out? xx

Donnie has done a great job with the lyrics.... all the passion is there, the music really gets the blood pumping and it gets played loudly every time the Scotland rugby team play, it never ages. We will be going to watch them in the World cup this year so good luck to the boys!!!!
