4:38 - This was extremely, satisfying to watch because of all those bloody, fools who decide to paint everything white these days. 9:34 - Now, while you did a wonderful job removing that paint from that piece of furniture, I'm saddened to see you follow the bland, boring, tend of everyone else, and have the inside of your place all white, or nearly, all white. I never have liked this and I will never, ever, understand it.

I absolutely detest anyone who does this to antiques, you must be related to Forrest Gump, because you are not a smart man.😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮.

Well done! Your woodwork was superb! The cushion would have looked better with rubber foam and géométrique design in deep blue and gold. No studs and trim it makes it look cheap, sorry.

Reminds me of a chair, whose seat I replaced. There were 7 layers. Yuck! The bottom was a beautiful blue tiny flower-printed silk, worn away around the edges. I made it all clean & new.

Who knew your love for woodworking outweighed your love for work in Hospital! I have been a fan from the beginning! I watched your Accumulations of tools increase 10 fold! You do absolutely remarkable work! just a quick question what’s the Significance of that warrior in the back row that I haven’t seen lately?Your vision for these redos is incredible!

Your creativity, determination and patience are astounding since you basically rebuilt/reinvented this piece. And it does look like an old steamer trunk ( but a thousand times better)- I have one.

I also think there was a top made of oak. Were the pine shelves original? I would have simply made new oak shelves rather than go the veneer route, although you did a nice job. I think the breadboard ends were long because the wood simply dried out. I could also imagine legs the better matched the unit, more like the original.

Love your videos, man! You treat all the pieces of furniture with respect, keeping the form and structure intact, where possible, and even when you deviate, you produce something beautiful, playful and smart. Perfect choice for the legs and drawer/door knobs - I especially like the edging stain that you’ve done against the main veneer - that contrast is beautifully understated, yet still allows the main veneer to stand out more. A fantastic job.

Overdone. This is not restoration. It is not supposed to look new. If that is what You are after, buy the new one.
