Very ugly building inside. It looks like without maintenance. Possible for a terror movie.

I think it would be interesting to live here . Very convenient also because you have all the different stores and doctor office, etc. I absolutely love the underground shopping mall. ❤

Nice video. How does it work for foreigners? Do I have cops in the middle of the night in my house? The social Credit score? Is that a thing there? Is VPN allowed in China? I wanna enjoy Hong Kong for a while but the way it is heading I might move. I more look towards Taipeh. Such a nice city and also not as crazy busy as HK. HK is fun for me because I don't have to work. So I see many people very busy but I can take it easy...

There's a charm to that. But if I imagine one of those grandmas or grandpas getting into medical emergency in one of their tiny apartments... little chance to get help in time.

Unfortunately, Hong Kong isn’t the same as it was 20+ years ago. It was a true world city. Some of my friends still go there to visit family, but most say that they will never live there again. Many large companies are now moving their Asian headquarters out of Hong Kong to Singapore, Manila, Seoul, Taipei, etc… Back in the late 90s you could get a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment in Shenzhen (across the China border) for $75-$80 per month.

The size is typical of places in Hong Kong, especially the older buildings. Some of them are 10+ stories and don’t have an elevator. I once stayed in a place on Mong Kok district that was 8’ X 8’ including the bathroom. The shower was a wand that was mounted over the toilet.
