I'm not sure if some of these comments are bots, but this video was bad. It took you 54 seconds to start, you use random pictures every sentence, you say "kidney stones" dispite the title saying back pain. Not to be rude, but this was a mess.
@edu4569 күн бұрын
I've had both. There is a distinct difference. You will know if it is kidney stone pain, there is no relief and it is unbearable. Mine was flank or side pain as well, which is common with stones.

Evidently you have not had knee replacement surgery. I had both knees done. Thankfully not at the same time but I know that kneeling on my knees isn't a good thing. It makes me want to launch myself off my knees.

my left elbow is broken then they put it some stainless to support then when they remove it i can't straighten my left arm it's about 10 years ago and my left arm doesn't gain any muscle because i can't straight does any chances to make it straighten
@restorepluspt13 күн бұрын
I'm sorry to hear this @nitoyandres3405. That is a touch situation. Because of the length of time, chances are your elbow will not fully straighten anymore. There is nothing to lose by doing the stretching because it is possible to gain some increase in extension though. I wish you the best. 🙏

@restorepluspt13 күн бұрын
Good question @julieshane2677. Elevating your leg will help with swelling. I don't recommend sleeping with the leg elevated to my patients because being in that position for several hours while you're sleeping tend to cause back issues. I hope this helps.

A few questions regarding sleeping positions. In the early days post TKR with the increased swelling aren't you supposed to try to keep your leg/knee elevated. Laying on your back with your leg straight doesn't elevate the knee at all. Would it be ok with an adjustable bed to raise the bottom keeping your leg straight? Also, what is the best way to get onto the bed the most comfortable way. With the TKR knee on the inside or on the outside of the bed? Thank you,
@restorepluspt13 күн бұрын
Good question @LindaThomas-s3j. Elevating your leg will help with swelling. I don't recommend sleeping with the leg elevated to my patients because being in that position for several hours while you're sleeping tend to cause back issues. As for the getting in/out of bed, there is no specific correct way to do that. Most of my patients prefer to get their surgery leg up on the bed first then follow with the non-surgical leg. I hope this helps.

Pt gal turned me on my belly n I swear she was trying to touch top my head w my foot. I was yelling n yelling n couldn't get out of that position because of other problems. I was doing fine until that day. It's been 6 Mos. Couldn't seem to get 2 different surgeons to acknowledge it. I don't understand. I diagnosis myself. Quadriceps tendonitis!! It's rough as crazy trying to exercise n keep ROM n not make it worse. 😢

When I had my urether stones I was able to describe the pain development very accurately to the ER staff, although I had severe trouble to concentrate myself and express whole sentences due to the pain: It started on the right side of my back just behind the lowest rib as a flickering cramp like pain. Afterwards the pain increased considerably and spread out to the upper side of my belly and went down towards the groin. Back pain does not expand to the upper side and as far as I have experienced it there cannot be any back pain that is more intense than the pain of kidney stones. I would have been more than happy only to endure the back pain.... 😉 Other possible reasons (differential diagnosis) can be an inflamed appendix or an aneurism of the aorta (on the left side).

The health system diagnosed me with Tendonopathy but for some reason the doctor today told me it's Fibromyalgia. How do I know the difference?
@restorepluspt20 күн бұрын
Good question @hb5399. There are differentiating factors that will determine fibromyalgia. Check if you have the symptoms in this video. Tendinopathy in a very short answer usually is localized and pain increases when you do the movement that the tendon is responsible for. But this is a very general answer. Medical providers have clinical tests that we do to be more specific.

I was diagnosed with tiny renal stones. I was advised to get hydrated all the time so the stones may go away with time. However, usually when I feel like like using the toilet & I don't go in time, the pain get intense, when I finally use the toliet the pain remains for a while then go away. I realize that even when I fart, the pain get minimized. Any further advice, Doc? Thank you.
@restorepluspt20 күн бұрын
I'm sorry to hear this @SesaySaio-o1p. In my experience, I avoid holding in urine to the point that I really need to go. This causes pain and discomfort. I would recommend consulting with your doctor for more answers to your specific condition. I wish you the best. 🙏

Who is this guy! You CANT straighten your leg following surgery! And look at how he gets on that table. You can’t move like that! And when he says you might be in a little bit of pain, he should be saying excruciating, blood curdling pain! I’ve done this twice, and what he is saying is directly against what my doctor says. I’ve seen enough!
