The drumming on this track is flawless.

Jacked too many licks = Stole from too many people (or victims of theft/deceit in this case). -In Hip Hop a "lick" is a popular term for a victim of robbery. Many times you will hear them refer to "hitting a lick" meaning carrying out a robbery for quick monetary gain through selling the stolen items. -Jacked simply means stole. "I can't find my iPhone anywhere, I think somebody jacked it."

Great commentary, great analysis, and glad you enjoy this track as much as I do. It really gives me goosebumps every time. Inspirational in how it really dissects the root of one form of abuse in a relationship, while also reminding you that there's always a beautiful road ahead. Even though it's an older vid by now, keep up the awesome content!

I suggest you check out a couple of bands called holding absence and caskets there music is classed as metal core

I feel the exact same way in the fact that I will never be able to find another band that sounds like this. I don't think there will ever be another band that makes me feel the way that DGD makes me feel. That's why they have been one of my favorite bands, if not my favorite band, for 15+ years. This is one of my top 3 on the album for sure.

Lol, when I was younger and I heard the Kurt Travis led DGD, I thought it was Jonny Craig still, and I thought wow, Jonny Craig sounds terrible now and I use to hate the Kurt Travis Era, however once I realized it was Kurt and not Jonny it grew on me. The Tillian Era is my favorite Era. However, I don't think Kurt gets the credit he deserves. The Kurt Era was amazing. Definitely underated.

Cheese! Easily my favorite song off the new album, Jon's slightly clean scream parts in this song go overlooked though. He tried to sing rough in some parts of the song, rather than do his filthy screams 😂

6:25 I can't think back to a SINGLE song where Jon Mess just goes in like this. Hands down one of the best segments out of ANY song for him. This part was just nasty. I held the guitar work and then Andrews vocals as the key part at first, then Jon comes in last minute to steal the show.
