@ Trey I’m in Colorado and since 2008 I’ve been fishing in our Colorado mountains for trout! I love it each week we would travel to a different lake spend the whole day there making amazing memories! Last year in January I was home from work during my recovery from surgery watching fishing videos. Kayak bass fishing came up on my KZbin channel and I was undeniably hooked! Than creek, river for panfishing videos appeared and I was saying to myself, “what have I been missing.” Now I can’t stop watching them lol! Thank you sir have a blessed day.

Thank you brother! I was a little surprised that they were that active last Saturday, but that kind of showed me they will bite on colder days if you get it close to them. Weird thing is, the LM were active but the smallies were shut down.

Ok we've talked on the phone we both fish this particular creek it's rare since I've been fishing this exact area for the last 4-5 years you've caught the most largies I've ever saw come from our fishing grounds it's usually all smallies. Great upload Trey

Thank you Mr. Chris. You're right, it was very unusual for sure, and they were also schooled together. I only caught 1 smallie in that same pocket. It was like the smallies were shut down that day.

I would guess that I saw around 20 cottonmouths and 1 rattlesnake this season. As long as I don't badger them, they generally swim up and look at me and then swim off. I have never ran into any really aggressive ones, other than 1 that wanted to get in my kayak years ago. I had to use my kayak paddle to change his mind.

I really don't like fishing with multiple treble hooks. Those smallies are too dang mean to handle with hooks flying around! The good part is...Chris, the owner of Twelve Oaks uses some insanely sharp hook on his custom lures, so it went right through.
