Well that unlocked a core memory. Born in the 80s grew up in the 90s. My mother had a few of those clip chains. I'd forgotten about them, and we need to bring those back.

Just two. You grab the 10yds of the 2 ribbons and fold it so that it's evenly centered. For me I just made loop with a square knot at that center part to start it. When I'm at the end I just fed the tails back into the beginning and tied it.
