Jane’s Addiction without Perry Farrell is a good thing. He has been ruining their live shows for years, with his lousy vocals, forgetting the lyrics and drunken tirades on stage. From the last show on the first Lalapalooza tour, to random shows of theirs I went to leading up to a few years ago, Perry is always the weak link.

My current Definitely Maybe tracklist is: 1 - Rock and Roll Star 2 - Shakermaker 3 - Live Forever 4 - Cloudburst 5 - Listen Up 6 - Columbia 7 - Supersonic 8 - Cigarretes and Alcohol 9 - Slide Away 10 - Whatever 11 - Half The World Away It doesn't change that much but it's fire 🔥, especially for arriving Quito (Ecuador) from south by road. Edit: I'd love to add Fade Away, but the sound quality hurts my ears.

they did not need to have any hits. We who love music for what it is, is all the hits we need. We who love music for what it is are not looking at hits on the radio, and billboard charts or industry numbers. We just love music for what it is and Janeś Addiction was one of those bands that transitioned from the 80`s to the 90`s wonderfully and were very influential and great. "One of my go to bands", A go to band for what exactly? You needed to have a go to band for some reason? And in what sense they were not a Nirvana or Pearl Jam, in sales or popularity? Because musically, they are on point. Either way they didn´t need it, they have their own worldwide loyal fans throughout the years. Cheers
@NickCinoMusic5 күн бұрын
They were never really a band i listened to growing up in the 90s, only later on did I discover their stuff. Im not sure their influence is equal to a Pearl Jam or Nirvana. Never been interested enough to go further.

Jane’s didn’t have hits because all of their albums were hits. They were just as, if not more influential than Nirvana. Go listen to Three Days and maybe you’ll get it.

Good stuff. Lots of artists I’m not aware of (perhaps not so well known here in the UK or maybe I’ve not got my finger on the pulse like I once did!) Liam Gallagher & John Squire is definitely one I’ve enjoyed this year. Pearl Jame was also pretty good and the Smashing Pumpkins too deserves a place. I’d have added The Cure, English Teacher and Last Dinner Party. There would be others. My plan for 2025, to keep a closer ear on the music scene. And of course, celebrate the glorious return of a band from Manchester
