I went to Quartzsite for the first time this year and I was also disappointed at the lack of a welcoming embracing community. After leaving there, I did find some of that community on occasion. Happy that you’ve found your tribe in California. Food looks delicious!

I think there's a season for everything. I love solitude and not being around people but I also need civilization every once in a while. I want to try boondocking but think I'd love to do it with a small group of friends. I'm so happy to hear that you've found an awesome community in Cali! We need kindness in the world now more than ever.

@ Ive been there before but my head wasn’t right, I was distraught at the time , I sold my Van for an inconspicuous suv , but inherited another dog, it’s been hard but were adapting to each other, I’m looking for a cargo box for top, then I’m going to do it better this time. Thank you much 😊

Hey there✌️...the panels have grommet holes..and my van has a high top lip around it..so I just used a bungee for the middle and any kind of hooks for the end..👍

I have a Kelty Backroads and after its setup it's great. My "but" is the setting up part....those poles are a real PITA by yourself..... great video and application (I have a square drop little trailer). Love your pup!! Happy Trails!

I lived in California most my life here is a good place to hide out BLM Chimney Creek campground it is remote but easy to get to sometime you will not see anyone for a week

Yes, one night in California is a good representation of the largest economy, largest population, and 3rd largest state by physical size. I spent 36 hours is Texas once, the entire thing is obviously just like what I saw in my time there.
