So, apparently the English trailer shown at Capcom's E3 conference in 2003 had the title card in a style more like X4-X6, while the Japanese trailer had the finalized title card. If this also pissed off anyone, I don't blame them, but I honestly don't mind the finalized design.

The Japanese versions of X4, 5 & 6 never used that style of logo. So for X7, they must have had a late decision to keep the logos consistent across all regions.

@SK438 I was talking about the North American trailer. The North American boxart for X7 at retail has the logo be the same as the Japanese logo both in the Japanese trailer and at retail. This trailer has a logo style more similar to X4-X6 in North America and Europe. Like the entirety of the Zero series, once again, Europe drew the shortest straw and got the worst boxart and logo for X7, and this even extends to X8.

actually no. It was initially called "F-Zero GC" or F-Zero for Nintendo GameCube. It wasn't until we came close to release date that they finalized the name apparently

I’ve never seen this trailer for the gamecube beta before. This is even more proof that Drakor played a way bigger role in the gamecube beta version than in the final version, and quite possibly was the main villain in the game. Great job for finding this!
