I visited My Blue Heaven in early September 2023 and it was locked then too. I think it may have gotten closed to the public sometime in 2022.

Super glad that the rattle was just the heat shield! I was worried you had to head home! Good stuff as always! The last section of that road up to Burnt Knob LO looks pretty gnarly for a stock Yeep! Time for a lift and some 37s...or 40s! 😁 Thanks for sharing this journey with us! Happy Trails!

Enjoyed your video. If you have not read it, look up the book titled “Indian Creek Chronicals ”. It was written by a young man who spent the winter keeping the salmon channel open..

It's nice seeing you guys enjoying the idaho back country in your retirement. Wife and I are going on 49 years of marriage. We live in northwest Wyoming. We explore as much back country as we can during the short summer season. Would love to ride idaho again. Spent time in Elk city back in 2011. Might have to join you guys on a future exploration. Take care.

Dana, how do you like the metallic shine through the Tangerine Twist? And did you consider the Illusion Orange but opted for the Tangerine because of a slightly more reddish hue? At 16:27, I see the rich orange hue which looks spectacular as the end result. I am going to have a steel mountain bike frame built up with either the Illusion Orange (or maybe Illusion Tangerine) or Illusion Raspberry. Thank you for the video. Interesting that you have all the stuff needed to apply your own powder coating!

Pretty much everything is on the videos. We unloaded up on the end of the Selway where the rafters take out, and went into Elk City and took the Mcgruder Corridor road to Darby, Mt. Get a map from forest service and enjoy 😊

Great combination, nice 4 wheeler and big buck. I will be trying for whitetail this year for the first time. I live in SE Idaho but plan to head north for the hunt. Will be headed up on the 13th of November. Any advice? By the way I do an ATV channel too. Love to ride

Great video. Looks like an enjoyable ride. I'd like to make that trip someday. Got to ask what was the trouble you were having with the Can-Am. No fun breaking down in the middle of nowhere when you are traveling as a solo machine.
@danaheath7671 Жыл бұрын
Still not sure. It started giving me problems 3 weeks before the trip. Replaced the fuel sensor, fuel pump and starter relay and was still dying. Last computer code said check key, so took it to the Can-Am dealer and had a new key made and made it 50 miles and died again. After dying 10 times the second day it ran fine the next 4 days..Go figure

compared to tires, how much more fuel does it burn with the tracks?

Just about twice as much on the 1000R. Can get about 80 miles with tires on and only 40 miles to the tank in deep snow ❄

I know that feeling, wanted to go couple years ago and the drought hit and was over 100 degrees for 12 days and to hot to be pulling a trailer. Then they closed the woods down.

It’s a bear. For sure. Some of more lighter reddish neck or shoulder - even the black bears. My vote is bear. The Bigfoot I saw was black black fur, at least 10 feet, flat wide face, eyes widespread and it’s eyes glowed red. It could not be mistaken for any kind of bear. It wasn’t even close.

Nice video with the new GoPro! 👍 Should we be concerned about the intruder at 3:24?! He looks a little questionable.... 🤣😂 I'd have a dozen trail cams if I could just so I could watch the critters all day like the ones by the pond! Priceless! Y'all are livin' the good life! Good luck on the hunt! Oh...and I have a little freezer space available if you need to unload some extra elk meat... 😁
