I remember this night perfectly. The G12 got into me right away and knocked down my left rear right off the bat in the feature. My tire went flat because he bent the bead just enough to where it went flat while we were waiting on the front stretch without me knowing. Dan was so nice and pulled up next to me and told me that my tire had went flat (the officials told me nothing over the raceciever about my tire being flat which really ticked me off) and I went to the pits to go change it out. I went back to get on track and they didn’t give me my spot back which made me even more angry at them, so I started dead last. And when we went green and were coming into corner three, there was a pile up and I went to the high side, and so did the guy running low on me. And that ended up with him ripping the axle tube out of my car, wrecking my coil over, and snapping the swing arm. All I can think is that Dan could’ve just sat there in the front stretch and told me nothing and I would’ve just been mad at the safety officials, but he was so nice to tell me that and that’s why I enjoy racing with him. He doesn’t go and freight train you going into a corner just so he can gain a spot and destroy his car in the process, he races clean and fair and that’s why I still like to race.

Everyone seems to think it was a dirty move. I disagree. It looks like dan gave him plenty of room above him, where goergen was running to begin with. Nice run Dan!

looking back on this day ......wow....amazing that we even got this show in......ALOT of fucking work went in.....and the way the track turned out......it kind of leveled the field .....and we got pelted.....but holy crap.....wasn't it some fun eh?

If I could race with one team or crew for the rest of my life, I’d race with the Red 1 team, while racing against Dan, he never chopped me off, or wrecked me, he always raced fair, and raced clean. After crashing into Dan, I felt so terrible for hitting him, but Teresa cheered me up and told me how she understood that it was an accident. Every win you guys get is well deserved.👍

Nope, last year Dan gave him a hand building his prototype. There's a video on here that shows it from out jig to the 1st time on the track.

Talking about your video description- I was behind him and the 13 when they got together, unfortunately some tracks enforce the rule of if a part comes off your car wether it is your fault or not, while other tracks I've raced at have seen the whole right side off of a car and they let him keep his spot. I guess it probably should be a rule that is looked into to make it fair at every track. Sucks for him he was doing good!

Yep that's what I heard as well. Kind of a bs call. That panel had 7 body bolts & 10 rivets. But according to the call / it just fell off. 🤔 There should be some common sense involved. Makes someone want to turn a race into a demo derby, just to get drivers sent to the back.

My bad - hard to control myself most times. Didn't want either one to lose that one with a flat. Would have been nice to see that one go caution free. Gonna miss your dad wheeling a WRC. Will alway build a new one for him when he's ready to get back in the seat.

JOHNNY74A Funny you should say that, I deleted one of the same restarts there was actually 3 identical. I thought he was going to get charged. But guess not. I had a word with Dan afterwords and said you knew he was going to do that after the 2nd time, why didn't you go with...He said he didn't want to take a chance on getting a call.

I wish other drivers could be clean. Too bad Dan isn't like the majority, he could have gotten by in 1 lap instead of actually racing his way around cleanly.
