What is the role of that black buttons "Safety over ride-depress while starting"
@OmegaAviation
@OmegaAviation 13 күн бұрын
@@alexiskalisa1608 this is an oil low-pressure bypass switch. There is a safety system that will turn the engine off if it senses low oil pressure. This momentary switch bypasses this feature since while starting the engine there is little to no oil pressure. It also prevents accidental starts.

Hello all; I am the repair guy at Cannon Load Banks located in Palmetto GA 30268 USA manufacturer of the model L-72 400Hz 72KW load bank used to test the Hobart GPU. I would like to point out that the meter selector switch only changes the display of the volt and hertz meters, the amp meter is connected to the A phase line through a current transformer and the balanced load is applied to all three phases wired in a WYE. I noticed the GPU latched despite the E&F toggle switch on the load bank being in the off position which leads me to believe the GPU E&F bypass was on although I could not see the bypass light on, normally the E&F switch on the load bank would be selected to on before energizing the cable so that internal transformer would provide the 28VDC back to the GPU.

Airport should have kept these trucks, the truck may be 60 years old but its not like you take it on the long road trip, you use it to park at the plane for passenger to board.

What is the purpose of putting the air pack in position?
@OmegaAviation
@OmegaAviation 23 сағат бұрын
@@mayconaurelionetto6092 air conditioning systems on aircraft cool cabins with “air-cycle systems”, not Freon. They use engine bleed air (or Air packs from an Air Start Unit while on the ground if not running the APU), cool it through expansion in a turbine, and manage humidity before distributing it.

The drivers console for this truck is very different to the highloader that I drive. Im assuming this is an older model? The trucks that we have are all 2021 or newer Ford Mallaghans, as well as the single cab half trucks which are Isuzus

Nice looking unit with not too many hours. If you use the formula of hours to miles as if the engine were in a vehicle, 838 hours x 35= 29,330 miles. Very crude way to measure but gives a general idea of the over all condition. Long story short, this has a lot of life left in it.
