the guys circles away from the arm drag grip, which opens the opportunity for him to spin to front headlock in the other direction. If anything its more impressive that during a live situation he was able to capitalise on his opponents reaction to the drilled technique.

It only works if you both agree to very specific sets of rules that restrict 99.999% of your actions.

No that’s for less serious/more organised events, if a good enough guy tackles the average person even if they’re strong with proper technique they will win every time

In a street fight, your not supposed to roll. Watch videos of the gracies, they punch and kick, they don't just grab at nothing, if you wrap up, wrap up when and where your supposed to! This is bootleg, there are to many watered down jujitsu schools in the US, old school jujitsu is made to fight , not just hold , I can't stand seeing these fast food chain martial arts schools! Jujitsu is supposed to be explosive and violent , then when your safe, you can make sure your opponent is safe, but not using punches and kicks, elbows , knees is not pure jujitsu, it's wrestling using jujitsu basics. The gracies used jujitsu for combat, not these laying down and pure wrestling garbage competitions lol, ground and pound , palm strikes, all part of jujitsu
@sonofromel25 күн бұрын
@@beentheredonethat5908 yeah people get batshit over this. Gracies throw hands first. They said it themselves.

Option 1: If that was a real fight, abandon the failed guillotine and push the chin to turn the head hard to one side. With the far hand, reach around and pull that chin hard. Carry your weight on that chin. This torques the neck to unimaginable pain and typically forces someone abandon whatever they are doing. Practice it very carefully. Option 2: If that was a real fight, abandon the failed guillotine and push the chin from the bottom so the head tilts backward. BENCH PRESS THAT CHIN. I prefer option 2
