Awesome video. Simple and high effective coaching technique and explanation. I have always been poor thrower but look forward to trying your technique before I coach school children. Thank you.

David Storl does not hold any shot put record. Ulf Timmermann did 23.06 meters in 1988 using the glide technique.

One of the key point of success in glide is that , the speed of glide and the speed of release is equally proportional to each other .

hello, i just came across your video! was wondering how do i block during the strike. currently i am unable to block efficiently and my left hand is just dangling to keep me balanced. and because of the deceleration i hurt my rhomboids and lower lats 😢

Glide but think and explain like rotational... so wrong.... from the holding where elbow should stand in opposition to the displacement (keep arm relaxed)... then wrong step back it should help thrower to get longer delivery he can use at power position... rotation??? it is the glide!? so why rotate and cut all the inline motion... should use both legs and maximize the delivery from low-back to high-front... respect 2D or inline... use the most body muscles you can to accelerate the shot... it should look like a basketball throw to the basket from middle field ...
