This ending reminds me something that happend today to me. I lost my Friend but he didnt died. He will abandon Social Media for a few years but i know that i will see him again.

So i will say. Good voice acting cast, but i prefer the original made up language better. You felt the emotions better there. I mean... this part kinda just doesnt work "Uh uh" no just no -_- 2:23 And i dont like the idea of Klonoa being a teenager in the first game to begin with

I feel like the only reason Eric Stitt worked in this version at all is because when you look at Klonoa's design & stature in this version, he kinda looks like a teenager, whether it be his Klonoa 2 design or the design used for the Wii version. But when it comes to the Phantasy Reverie Series, Klonoa looks like a little kid, just as he did in the original, so Eric Stitt's voice would NOT have worked there. I just wish they had an English dub for the PRS though. I would've LOVED to hear Tara Strong voice Klonoa.

BWAHAHAHAHA! JESUS CHRIST! I'm playing the version on the Switch and just beat this game. So for comparison, I thought I'd see the ending for the Wii version. Klonoa sounds like an Edgy Teenager as to apposed to being super freaking adorable! XD

I'm pretty sure they gave Klonoa the voice he has on purpose so we wouldn't cry as much too the ending, imagine Klonoa sounding like a little boy probably like 8 or 9 years old, I'd be crying at the ending 😥

The original gives me the feels. Just my opinion, the original PS1 version gives me the sorrowful feeling… But at least, Huepow feels happy that peace was restored…

Aging up Klonoa takes away the emotional resonance of this scene. Being pulled out of the dream world is symbolic of the end of innocence, but by the time you're sixteen, you've seen things. You've already been hit by the hammer of harsh reality. Things still hurt, but not as much.

So alot of people hate the klonoa voice I get that But honestly, I love it, call it nostalgia but I feel the actor is amazing and this scene really shows off his emotion Plus idk as cool as making up a entire language for a game is, that never really translated well to emotion for I love this game and it's definitely one of my favorite games of all time I am without a doubt getting the remake when it launches, but please do what I do and look at this game and it's VAs as it's own thing, don't compare them, look at them for how good they truly are especially in emotion That being said I am very depressed the remakes won't be English *sigh......* BUT I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN I SWEAR IT EVEN IF I HAVE TO BLOW UP THE MOTHER FU-

It's been a long time since I last saw this version of the ending, so it shocked me to see just how many corners they cut here. They didn't even bother changing the grass and sky textures to look dull and gray? Not only does this ruin the mood, it also shows that nightmare energy being released upon Phantomile, this huge event that brought the world to ruin in the original, apparently had zero impact at all besides making a handful of flowers die. Christ... I hope Phantasy Reverie gets it right this time, even if it's based on this version.

Umm…. There are slight improvements and they used the OG lines from the PS1 version (plus some re-recording). But not much changed sadly in the environment…

I don't really like the models and the animatons it's a bit more stiff... but it still gives the feeling of the ending... maybe the voice of Klonoa feels a bit too Sonic like for my liking, but he is a pretty good voice actor.

It sounds like you missed the point of the smile entirely. It tells a lot to the viewer without needing to use any words. Huepow is not only putting on a brave front for himself, but coming to terms with what needed to be done. He knows he made a lifelong friend and that Klonoa is back where he belongs. The smile shows that he realizes everything worked out despite his own sadness, and that he knows his friend will be alright. Both the Wii version and Phantasy Reverie completely screw this moment up. It's really unfortunate.

the PS1 version is so much more emotional, the fact that klonoa sounds like sonic and the music being distracting ruins this for me in the original there was silence, we heard only them wich is makes me take it more seriously (the music that plays later was a better choice) also klonoa is way more expressive there, thats a bummer, the gameplay of this remake looks good but the most important scene is done POORLY, this doesnt feel as important with that kinda tone
