This is coming in handy at three years after posting. My male av was created many years ago, and was built so I could animate furniture with a reliable subject. Then lot of stuff happened and I slowed down on furniture production and poor guy sat there wearing 2010 freebies and sculpts. This last holiday season I decided to buff him up with the sales. Scored Gianni half off, and the LeLutka Camden head and then hit everything on the 12 days card. I'm just now getting him put together. So of course I came back to my saved Boston videos for help with the details. Still looking for BOM body hair options since the Not Found BOM body skin doesn't have an option for it, and I suppose I could go buy the Stray Dog skin, but a layer is always good. I did stop at the inworld Boscato store and was totally impressed. Well done, Boston! ~Cynianne Hellershanks (main)~ BroadlyOffensive Diabolito (only here for the revolution, my male alt). I always enjoy these and share them.

First comment here in 2024. Started SL years ago, on and off for years and now i am LOST. Started again with a new avi from SL and I've bought maitrya, legacy, Freya shapes and skins and when I put them on I have a brown face on top of or under the skin I'm using and it's driving me INSANE and I've spent a frigging fortune. Nah it's about $40 for a full mesh avi (head, body) with good quality skins and addons and clothes etc. Look out for Black Friday sales starting next week, it's usually 50% off everything. So you could easily do everything for a total of $20 or less.

I was interested in getting that Zeus skin fatpack, but I'm worried about their head line-up as well. Taking a look at most of them (Such as the Ares Skin) it seems that they've got a big shine factor built in with the skin, as opposed to a toggle. Or maybe I'm not looking at the demos right?

Yes you're right that the white is baked in (which gives the illusion of shine). Materials shine is something different which can be toggled on and off.

ctrl+8,0,or 9 is great and all but I still like selecting a transparent object in edit mode and then holding alt+left click and drag mouse forward to zoom through it till you get a cool lens effect
