I dont know how he was able to sing this song, I'm sure it was hard for him. I lost my dad in 2015 and this song reminds me of my dad, I feel sad that Gary also feels what I feel.

I love this man so much. My father-in-law, who is the sweetest man on earth, has dementia and is dying a very slow death. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this song. Wildness is the only album I listen to lately. Gary and Snow Patrol are helping me so much through this very difficult time. I love you, Gary. 💜☮️💜

Can i recommend band keane hopes and fears their first album is about the leed singers mum who suffered and died from dementia... its incredible capture of both sadness and love .. i to love Snow Patrol one of best irish bands from island of Ireland brilliant .. their songs are just so honest below is keane track kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKmXeZ2na7CqhZI

Thank you so much for posting this. The courage it must have taken him to sing something so close to his heart, so soon after his father's death. And the incredible compassion he shows by noticing others may also be in similar pain. Sheer class.
