I bought this game in summer 97 second hand from that’s entertainment in lakeside for £5 it was so bad my mates all took the piss but luckily I had a mate I managed to mug off by saying “you like planes you’ll love this” and I swapped him this game for die hard trilogy plus the light gun. Phew

Die Hard Trilogy is definitely a lot easier to get into!
Tom and Jerry In House Trap was one of my first games that I've got on my PS1 Console, it capture the cartoonish vibe and charm of the show very accurated in my opinion, especially the Soundtracks. #NostalgicVibes #Childhood #Memories 🤷🏻♂️✌️

All of these need a remaster or return to the PS5 since you see a lot of PS1 and PS2 games returning to the PS5 in there original design.

The Game Gear version of T&J Movie has extra stuff like bonus levels (fun fact the beta version was only on sms was titled Tom and Jerry so it would have been good if they just named it that way cos its not just like the 1992 movie).

@@ProjectPlayGaming They weren't Bethesda's first go at the Terminator license either. Years prior they'd mad a fully polygonal open-world game based on the first film, where you can be either Reese or the Terminator. The second game was a step-based(think Eye of the Beholder) game set during the future war years. This one had excellent artwork, but wasn't fun to play.

I played the game back in the 90s and it didn't thrill me, but with the QoL improvements the Ludicrous edition brings, I finally get why people love this game so much.

Used to love these games but I guess they're stuck in a strange position of - gamers expect decent graphics and gameplay and these games essentially have a dozen sports in them. Some smaller than others, sure. The second part they're stuck between is ultimately it's very simple gameplay, which again is pretty dated. Just smashing buttons and timing had its place and now, seems boring to many. Summer Games on the Amiga was my first, the last one I remember buying new was Sydney 2000 on the PS1. But the Olympic Games this year I felt like revisiting them. Turns out Sega haven't renewed the rights so this year it looks like a pretty basic game. Previous years Sega went down a very arcade approach with their mascots such as Sonic. The last 'real' game looks to be London 2012. Which you can't buy legally anymore, or Bejing 2008 though that is on Steam, it's just not for sale. 2012 is on the web archive and works though, so I gave it a shot and it's pretty poor by previous standards. It feels a bit lifeless, but, it is the game you'd expect, no weird arcade boosts etc. I also think the basic mechanics of the game lend itself to tablets and phones, so that's probably taken the market from them too. Certainly fun to look back on though as sometimes they got it right.

Nice overview. I also enjoyed Summer Athletics (PS2) and now I'm playing Summer Challenge: Athletics Tournament (PS3). Athens is the game I played the most, loved it. Summer Athletics had cool controls. London 2012 might be the best, overall.

These aren't all of the games. There was one I used to play as a child (around 2002) and I distinctly remember tom having a retractable fist (you know where its like XXXXXD with the retractable emchanism thing) it's literally impossible to find. It was on a sega mega drive I used to own, but then again it was probably some sort of bootleg

I feel the main thing with the older games is to give the book a quick read first 👍 You use the first level to gain upgrades to your plane, by collecting crystals from the things you destroy, which boosts your lasers, missles, engines.... everything if you spend enough time Also you didnt mention that you can terraform with your laser, cut a channel thru a mountain if you want.... And, you can fly into space from the planet, do space battle stuff, then fly back down to the planet, no loading, just like No Mans Sky

In my opinion, Scooby Doo Classic Creep Capers N64 is better than Scooby Doo on PS1, you have a certain freedom to move around the map, and the levels are inspired by the first Scooby Doo animated series from the 60s.
