My life changed in 2006 when I broke my back and life kind of took a whole different direction for me. Depression was the hardest thing to deal with and overcome, but 18 years later I’m still kicking and enjoying life. 😎👍

I guess it depends on what side of the fence you’re on….unfortunately there’s so many of us that don’t get to explore our memories, be they good or bad. To me that would be absolute torture to forget my life’s story. On the other hand I can fully appreciate how forgetting is the first line of defence.

@dongough1143 Yes, I had to turn back in Vermont. My legs were on fire from nerve pain. I sent you a text message and copied it to Don Fry. He said he would contact you. I had months of treatment to calm it down, but the skinny seat on the Suzuki was too painful.

Mount Washington and Kancamagus are both incredible rides to experience, but I think Crawford Notch was my favorite. I rode it the other way and cut across Bear Notch Rd. to the Kancamagus. It is such an incredible area to ride. Safe travels!

The harley was cool, and below 90 kph, it sounds great. I did a couple of long highway rides at 120 and up... that changed my mind. It gave me powerful headaches in less than 15 minutes. The vstrom is so comfortable and powerful. The new seat is great. I am looking at new bagger/ touring bikes for the next couple of years. Goldwing, BMW k1600, Indian and harley. Harley looks and sounds cool but the comfort just isn't there.

@@Frontireadventures I’m on Suzuki C50 now. Love it! I’m still planning on an adventure bike after I have a place to store my own bikes. I’ve been checking out Indians …. Harleys are cool but the maintenance bills… I would rather put my money to better use.

The bike looks great! Those windscreens are fantastic. I was on a vStrom 650 with that model windscreen and it was the best wind protection I have come across yet. I wish they offered that model for the Transalp.
