I don’t know how to do a provisional cast on which is why I remember what it was called. That was funny for me. It’s like the don’t think of the pink elephant. Not all I Can think is provisional cast on

Hi Chloe, I think you might like the Funky Gustav Sweater (or Gustav Sweater) by Johanna Gehrisch, it reminds me of the Wave Sweater a bit and comes in a better size range.

I can only hope your honey hugged you and said how gorgeous the green sweater gift was and how lucky he is to be with such a talented and generous woman! The next sweater will be perfect, but perhaps only a fellow knitter knows how painful the loss of this one was. We're with you, girl. Bad, bad machine!

He did! He insisted that he would wear it but the perfectionist in me won't allow it, because the fit issues are major

Its good to include large size models but when you see a sweater it would be good to see models who are smaller to see how it would look on us smaller sizes.
@abigknit2 ай бұрын
The pictures I pick for the videos are from the Ravelry pattern page, which is usually the designer themselves! If you were to look through the projects page there would be examples of models from across the different size range :)

I think it´s a good idea to show some designs that are not so well known, thank you. I think some of the designers are very well known though - not that it matters at all. Like Andrea Mowry has been one of the big names of knitting design for years, she has 230 000 followers on Instagram and one of her most popular designs The Weekender from 2017 has 14300 projects on Ravelry and I think it´s still been knitted a lot. Also(I don´t want to do this but I´m still doing it since it´s often written wrong)it´s Sari Nordlund not Nordland. I think it could be translated as Northgrove in English. Sorry about this.
@abigknit2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the correction on the spelling! I've fixed it in the description box of this and my other videos. Yes, Andrea (and Sari) are popular designers but I find they are talked about less online (at least in the videos I watch). I also tried to pick designs from them that aren't as popular :)

I am with you on the colorwork circular yoke sweaters. I have knit several, but don’t wear them. When I put them on I always think that it’s just not me. The only one I really love is the Tata Matilda but it doesn’t have that severe line

I've never tried making one, I do have a couple on my to-knit list but I don't think many of the patterns would suit me!

I agree that the Laulu Pullover is very under-rated. It is probably my most favourite design I’ve knitted. I made it for my mum and she wears it all the time! I’d also like to knit it for myself. I had only done cables once or twice and found it really doable (and so worth it!)
@abigknit2 ай бұрын
I bought the pattern for this when it was released and I haven't prioritized knitting it! It seems to always get pushed to the bottom of the list but I think in the next cold weather season I want to make sure this sweater makes it on my needles. I have some chocolate brown yarn that I think would look really nice in this pattern!

Love your podcast! Just watched both your episodes and I loved them. Even though the Wave sweater didn’t work for you, you still inspired me to knit one 😂 I love a deep yoked super oversized sweater so it sounds right up my alley. I love how the boucle kind of ended up looking like a punch needle sweater.
@abigknit2 ай бұрын
The boucle yarn looks so good in the wave sweater! I'm trying to decide what other simple colour work sweater pattern to try it with. I feel like with the massive oversized yoke people either love it or hate it! I'm glad you're giving it a try :)
