We have just returned from our 5th trip to Ireland. Took a friend with us and showed him the beautiful south west, returning via Wicklow Mountains. He was blown away with what he saw. Having wall to wall sunshine was an added bonus, our luck with the weather will run out one day. He's itching to get over again and see more of it... oh well looks like ill have to go back again at some point 🙄😁

I was over in June, doing the WAW, but took in the Healy Pass, riding from the Beara Peninsula. The weather was being kind , after days similar to what you were riding in. Sun was high in the sky and the road was dry, couldn’t ask for better, what a Road!. Had a fantastic time and can’t wait to go back next year to continue with the next part of WAW. Graet Video.

I would love to visit Ireland one day. I would especially love it on a motorcycle! I stopped riding about two years ago. I had a couple of scares. Sold my bike. I still have my gear. Thinking maybe I might ride again someday. I live in Maine USA. And people really don’t see me even though I use high vis gear all the rest.

Hi Colin, Ireland is definitely worth visiting especially on two wheels! Sorry to hear you had a couple of scares and sold your bike 😔 you’ve certainly got to be really switched on when you ride and expect everyone else to be bad drivers - you could always consider some advanced rider training? Well worth it to get back in the saddle 👍 Hope it all works out for you! 😀

Hi Sorry not video related, I am getting a Truimph Tiger 900 GT PRO soon, what ate your pros and cons of the bike. Thanks in advance
@midlifemotorcyclediaries
@midlifemotorcyclediaries 4 күн бұрын
Hi David, first of all I genuinely think it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Initially I wasn’t sure if I could justify the expense of changing from the 800 but it really is a very different bike; far less top heavy , great quick-shifter (dare I say, much better than the one on the BMW GSA 😉) lots of extras and the engine is fantastic. The GT Pro also has lots of ‘toys’ like heated seats and a great TFT screen. I have had a few people contact me to ask if I had experienced any vibration or unusual heat from the engine because they had but I haven’t. I’ve had the 900 for 3 1/2 years now and - because neither Bri nor I are at all technical and stuff tends to wear out after three years - have considered test riding the new 900. That really is the only bike I would consider trading mine in for. If you get one, you’ll love it! Wishing you miles of smiles ☺️👍

If it's any consolation, I dropped my Tiger 800XC on my own drive some years ago! Glad you were OK. It's a shame the weather wasn't completely with you. Love the look of Healy Pass, Carol & I must do Ireland one day. The spa hotel looked a lovely place to relax. Hotel motorcycle parking should always be on the flattest area, but offen is just in an awkward area where they can't get a car in. We both enjoyed watching, thanks.

Firstly i really enjoy your travel vlogs , that said one tiny little criticism…. As you guys have a very popular channel i thought that this vlog could put off some of your non European viewers visiting Ireland as it kinda came across like the appalling weather there was specific to Ireland when in actual fact the whole of the U.K was getting battered with rain and wind the whole of Spring and Summer and had the worst ‘ summer ‘ i can recall in my 55yrs …. That aside ….. lovely roads and a smashing place to ride 👍🏼

Lovely video guys...the Healy Pass is a favourite of mine. If you ever go back the road from Rosslare that takes you on the Passage East ferry and along the Copper Coast is a joy. And the R600 you rode from Kinsale is fab..going all the way to Clonakilty. Stopping for a coffee in the garage doesn't sound great, but when the views from the picnic tables outside the garage in Glengariff are that good it's perfectly fine! I always stop there. Sorry to mention it again but Sue really does need to cancel her indicators far sooner after turning a corner, even if they are self cancelling they are not doing it quickly enough to avoid confusion for other road users. It happened again in this video after a right turn you approached a left turn with the right indicator still flashing (close to where you waited for the man and his young girl to cross) As an advanced police driver this is meant as advice and a pointer towards some advanced training. Not all supposed aids are infallible. Cancel your indicators manually don't rely on electronics.

Hi Kevin, you’re absolutely correct, of course. They are self cancelling but it can take a while. Ironically, I got into frequent trouble with my trainer for focusing on cancelling my indicator at the expense of other things and actually fell off my 125 in my very early training days because I was so keen to cancel my indicator that I dropped the clutch and pulled a very inelegant wheelie - not a good idea on the main A509 🤦‍♀️ I am usually pretty good - I guess Bri just failed to edit my rate crimes from this one 😉Thank you for your very useful feedback - and for watching our adventures. 👍

Just catching up after returning from our 22 night cruise covering Norway and Denmark and then dropping down into the Mediterranean. As always your vlogs and presentation are first class and always a pleasure to watch, lovely Honfleur looked to be a lot quieter than when we visited last year. On the 9th Sept we were in Marseille and there were placards still erected along the harbour showing large photos of the occupation and liberation of Marseille, we spent a good time looking at them and could identify some of the bombed buildings in the background as the Italian tanks rolled down the harbour road, also photos of the Americans liberating the city, pity the wording on them was only in French. Ride safe.

I have recently discovered your channel, so please forgive my early observations, it is meant constructively from a viewers point of view. I believe I fall into your demographic and I have been watching your French tour with interest, as I have a holiday home in the Pays de Loire and wanted to see what you found on your journeys that I have not discovered yet. I imagine a lot of work goes into production and it is very professional and polished. My gripe is the amount of middle of the road music as you ride, which I have to listen to just in case you mention something of interest. I think it would be more enjoyable with riding commentary as well as your walkaround observations. A small moan, sorry! I for one, would appreciate losing (some) of the tunes...

Enjoyed following your trip to France. I can’t believe the Ibis more than doubled its price for the D Day 80th Anniversary. What a smack in the face for any veterans/loved ones attending. If I may make a suggestion. Some French music would have been nice instead of Epidemic sounds. Personally I find the music a bit dreary with most songs just repeating the same lyrics over and over again. I needed to put the sound down with one annoying guy going on and on about driving a fast car😂😂. Sorry, may be just me !!

Thank you Pat - the Ibis didn’t do itself any favours on the PR front but I guess that’s business 🤷‍♂️ we have used some French music in all the episodes but music is always a matter of personal taste but we appreciate you watching! 😀👍

Very informative as ever. Looking forward to our little jaunt down to the Loire Valley soon. Great to see some areas where we are going to be riding. Keep up the great content.
