@@Monmorrangr I can only assume it’s working The ground isn’t frozen right now it’s still wet and muddy under the snow so it’s just the same as it has been I will say that it is cool and quick for making sets easy to spread and stuff

Pretty neat! I used to trap a few years ago. Never had much luck. Caught 9 coons, snared a grey fox and lots of skunks and possums. That was my first year I done it. Here in WV also.

Clint I always use Canadian Peet in the cold and traps have never frozen. Animals don’t seem to pay any attention to it.

At least you had a catch. I checked 25 sets and blanked out. Really warm last nt. I’m assuming there was no movement aside from the deer. That’s all my trail cameras showed moving. I didn’t even have anything mess with a set as far as I could tell. At least we have some cold weather coming to stay soon. Looks like I’ll be remaking sets after all this rain before the hard freeze.

@ I am currently waiting to find out from the guy, I have done it before myself skinned stretched and salted till dry then sent hide off to mink&moyle tannery it costs about 100$ a hide if that helps I’m sure having the taxidermist doing it maybe a little higher

My black stone has been in my barn for probably 5 years unused and rusted up really bad so I figured the dirt would kinda act like sandpaper to help scrub the top haha before I even started I had scraped a shit load of rust off the top and sides of the cook top so now maybe later I can cook on it hahaha

@@Waltz505 my target is coyote mainly I do keep most things but around home the red fox population has been hit hard by coyotes and they seem scarce I have never trapped a grey fox in 17 years I’ve seen only maybe 5 my entire life so I just let them go is all As for the opossum he was so small so I gave him a pass thanks for watching and the comment!! In the mid-80s I bought a 6-foot Hardee bush hog. I used it commercially and I've never had cracks in the structure like you have. It did have a floating top link which I really feel helped keeping itself from self destruction.

@@bobber55 mine was doomed from the beginning when I got it and used it for the first time it blew the breather valve out of it!! Why?? Because the gear box was full of water from the dealer! second the pto clutch blew apart the second time I used it after replacing the fluid in the gear box twice! It goes on and on from there haha just a bad piece of equipment is all!! Thanks for the comment.
