I Like the black hardware, seems an improvement over stock. My bus came with the top, but springs broken and not fully connected/attached....How long did it take for body work ? I have rust holes in the roof ! ... and replaced the front screen vent right in front...mine's a 66, thought it was 65 until I decoded the M code...did your M code say Tent ? dual circuit brakes ? and Roof rack ? Mine came in through port of NY.

This kit is a good option for the missing top... its hard to find original tops and hinges... those are preferred see if you can get yours working. It needed the cargo door rocker, battery tray and smoothed out couple spots maybe 10hrs. Have similar M code with Tent, Rack etc also delivered to port of NY!

Your pop top looks real nice. Is it new? Is someone making a reproduction? The reason O ask is because your mechanism would not fit the original holes and looks different from mine. I am hoping there is now a repo because I would like to build a teardrop trailer with a pop top to match my bus.

How are those doing 1 year later? I have a 1956 bus and someone told me the best size is 165 - 80 - 15. Why did you choose 205? Thank you!!

They are riding good. I put this size on for off road camping. 165-80-15 would be ideal for a split window bus...especially for your early year bus.

Thanks Fletch. Indeed, I'm gonna gather things for a bit and stamp in the interior this spring. Wood paneling...Rock n Roll bed...vintage cooler...curtains etc. Check back/sub to catch some fall adventures in the mean time, interior finish coming up.

Visit www.spaceroofs.co.uk They manufacture and ship the pop top i installed. They may provide info for installation on a hard top bus...template, measurements etc...
