im not super knowledgeable muslim but why did he say hamza yusuf is bad? I really like hamza yusuf and i like a lot of his theologies but am i being misguided by listening to him and if so why?

He is not bad in terms he knows nothing, but if you know him and then you will realize certain things about him. He is a learnt person, no one should disrespect him, but he has flaws, one of them is he refuses to accept he is wrong, many scholars tried to talk to him about it, to no avail. Many of these is documented

They don’t have a basis of anything. Desperately searching for something to pin on him; gun trafficking and show only one gun, tax fraud? Sounds like someone had to specifically review his taxes to incarcerate him for something. How keen is Allah’s sight and hearing. Even in incarceration he will be the one to teach others about Islam. As salaam u alaikum The brother has validity in his points on polygamy or polygany I respect and value his standpoint and interpretation However, a man is not required to wed more than one woman in this dunya or in Al Jannah..I don’t know what surah or ayat he is getting that from, I think he should be clear it is a preference. And as Sheikh Ahmed Deedat also pointed out before he passed on, rip it is a solution where the women outnumber the men in a society. Peace
