I really like how Gerard Doyle voiced Uvenk as Murtagh was passing out, in the audio book. It made him sound almost like he was pleading for the one person he could relate and talk to to stay conscious

Something about mushroom forests just screams high fantasy to me. Disgusting in real life, magical in fiction. I belive that Bachel was saying half truths for the most part. I believe that Durza, Galbatorix, and Morzan stayed with the Dreamers. I don't believe they were members, but more like Murtagh and just curious about them. I believe that she encouraged Galbatorix to destroy the Riders, but I don't believe she gave him the idea to ask for another dragon to learn of their cruelty. Cult leaders always lie to make themselves seem bigger and more important than they actually are

Wooo! Finally caught up to the final episode. You guys did great! Thanks for making my drives to/from work a bit more bearable 😂. I grew up on this series just like you guys, so it was really interesting hearing your point of view. That lake scene where he discovers the boneyard is probably one of my favorite images from the book and it's so quick with Muck Maw dragging Murtagh around

I like the addition of Thorn having Claustrophobia. It adds flavor to the orginal series without changing it too much, like thats probably part of the reason Thorn lounged on top of the walls of Dras Leona.

I think the Urgal tale and the Eragon fluff were my favorite parts of the book. The Murtaugh story is a fun one too, but I think it's enhanced if you read Murtaugh alongside it. Angela's was the weakest, but it wasn't bad and I think it flowed with the Eragon parts the best of the three. I think the Angela problem dragged it down a bit, the Angela Problem being that she always has to inspire more questions than answers

The Dream Cave was mentioned previously I believe it was Brom, but may have been Oromis. They were telling Eragon about wild magic. Solembum mentions to Eragon meeting men who age backwards and rooms that were larger on the inside than they appeared from the outside in Inheritance I believe.

I initially wanted to skip this section since I read Murtagh before TFTW&TW, but I'm glad I did cause otherwise I would have been confused by some of the stuff Eragon describes in the other two sections like the mountain and Hall of Colors

I always liked to think that Arya took the crown because she had been living for so long to defeat Galbatorix that when it was all done she was lost and needing a new purpose. And it fits with her personality of always wanting to do whats best for the Elves in her opinion

I always took Eragon's mental break down at the snail as him subconsciously relaxing for the first time since probably when he was training with Oromis in Eldest. I mean since then, I don't think he's had more than a few moments where he's not been actively doing something for the war. Plus I mean this book has just been hit after hit for him, they opened with a siege, followed by the tense siege of Dras Leona with a standoff between him/Saphira and Murtagh/Thorn, then the nightmare that was the tunnels under Dras Leona, AND watching Nasuada get kidnapped and knowing she was going to get tortured if not killed

Eragon: I’m an introvert and I don’t have enough mental energy to deal with this right now. Let’s reevaluate in the morning.

My only argument for the Hater's against him using nature energy is that he has to open himself up to the minds of plants and animals to use it and he's described it as experiencing each of their deaths personally. Plus opening his mind like that to detect the minds of the animals around him during a fight would be dangerous and leave him open to other magician's mental attacks

the next set of chapters with Nasuada’s POV and all of Vroengard are some of my fav in Inheritance. also, after reading Murtagh, the fight in Dras-Leona is So Sad. can’t wait for yall to get into Murtagh!!

Man, kinda want to read the stuff Paolini and his editors cut from Arya and Eragon's relationship if this awkward stuff is what we're left with. Though he is only like 18-19 in this book I believe so being awkward is still fair game for him. Are you two planning on doing The Fork, The Witch, and The Wyrm or Murtagh after Inheritance?

ahhh it’s hard to pick a favorite but eldest is so damn good. the world building, the character growth, and this MASSIVE mic drop of Murtagh being a rider was INSANE when i first read it, and still gives me goosebumps! this season was great, so excited to start Brisingr :)

one of my favorite sections of eldest, the blood oath celebration was always so cool to me, and the growth of eragon and saphira is Huge here
