The Scream. Still one of the BEST ever first LPs by a band, by ANY band. Classic, Legendary album.

One of the most enchantingly dark, melodic, punk/prog/psych bands ever. How they developed their sound from the early punk blast to this mysterious arty gorgeousness was thrilling to witness!

I saw Siouxsie and The Banshees at The Capitol Theatre, Sydney in 1982 and I was shocked to see Robert Smith walk out on stage with them. Like the other attendees at the concert, we nudged our friends and said, "Look that's Robert Smith!!" Great concert, great night. "Kaleidoscope" is one of my all-time favourite albums. Smoking Gunja certainly helped the experience.

Yeah, they're both amazing (and both bands!) A pity that Siouxsie's still angry with Robert for leaving the Banshees before a tour somewhere in the '80s, but he didn't have any energy left, he felt drained. He went to the doctor and seemed to have a very bad case of blood poisoning, the doctor was shocked at the levels of poisoning and that he was still standing up. But Siouxsie probably felt betrayed, she didn't buy it. I can see that she was mad because it was minutes before a tour.. But I'd rather have her mad at me for eternity than die of some horrible disease while on tour... PS: Does anyone know what year this is at The Whistle Test?

I saw Siouxie And The Banshees live twice. The first concert was in Paris in spring 84 with Robert Smith on guitars. The second gig was at a festival in Mont-de-Marson (South West of France) with John Valentine Carruthers on guitars ...

Robert Smith is one of the rare artists who is so hardwired into the human soul. Everything he does, you can just feel it.
